The house
Right by the beautiful Lac des Vieilles Forges is this detached villa. On the ground floor: large living room with ultramodern open kitchen equipped with induction hob, dishwasher, oven, fridge, three sliding doors provide plenty of light. Sitting area with fireplace. Satellite TV. (All Dutch channels including Fox Eredivisie 1). Stereo system with DVD.Large dining table for 8 people.Totally renovated designer bathroom with bath and shower tray with rain shower (rain shower and hand shower), washbasin with storage drawers. Laundry/storage room with washing machine, tumble dryer. Toilet.
1st floor: master bedroom with roof terrace, twin bed (1.80x200) and large wardrobe. bedroom with double bed (140x200), two bedrooms with two single beds. All rooms with linen cupboard. Large loft. Totally renovated design bathroom with walk-in shower (rain shower and hand shower), washbasin with drawers and toilet.
All beds have single duvets.
Due to the layout of the bedrooms and double bathrooms, the house is also suitable for 2 families.

French Ardennes: real France but not far away. Less than 300 km from the Netherlands (Rotterdam): beautiful detached holiday villa (living area: 155 m2) in the middle of the woods, but not isolated: in a residential area. Quietly situated. Total 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, so also suitable for 2 families. (Maximum 8 persons). Large garden (1500 m2) Garden with garden furniture. All comfort.

Het was een super mooi en propere woning. Toen we aankwamen stond de verwarmings al aan, dit was zeer aangenaam. Tevens was alles ook mooi uitgelegd. Zeker een aanrader en we keren ook nog eens terug

Wij waren met 4 vriendinnen een zeer zonnige week in dit fijne, ruime huis met 2 badkamers, ieder een eigen slaapkamer, een zeer complete keuken en een grote tuin rondom. Elke dag gezwommen in het op loopafstand gelegen prachtige meer en heerlijk gewandeld door het, achter het huis gelegen, (wel natte) mooie bos. Een huis en een plek om terug te komen!

Een lekker groot huis voorzien van alle gemakken. Met 4 volwassenen en 3 kleine kinderen (5,3 en 1 jaar) was het goed te doen, ook toen het regende was er binnen ruimte genoeg. Elfy land en het meer met strandje (favoriet bij de kleintjes) zijn op loopafstand. We hebben een prima vakantie gehad.

The house is within walking distance of the beautiful Lac des Vieilles Forges:
A recreational lake with sandy beach, playground and surveillance (July/August) at 900 m.
Sailing school, surfing, canoeing. Mountain biking, hiking, fishing, cross country skiing. Aquacentre with a.o. indoor swimming pool in fortified town Rocroi (9km) (= 'Naarden ven het Noorden'.) Charleville-Mézières 15 km. Sedan (castle) 40 km. Reims and the Champagne region at 100 km. Paris /Disneyland 250 km. In short: a lovely house, surrounded by nature but still with all possibilities nearby for an active, cultural or sporting holiday!

* In the living room there is a transition to the slightly lower area (seating area), with 2 wide steps.
* Pets are not allowed.
* Changeover day in season / school holidays: Friday; out of season flexible changeover day possible
* Final cleaning: obligatory, € 100
* Heating costs: varying according to season, €80 - €120 per week. Low rate: weeks 36-40; weeks 15-19 high rate: weeks 35 tm week 14.
