The house
The house is furnished in an extremely luxurious country style. All rooms are generously proportioned. Both the living room (80m2) and the dining room (30m2) have a fireplace.
Of the four bathrooms, two have a shower and a bath, the largest bathroom has a double walk-in shower and a sauna/sanarium.
Wifi and television are not available. Internet is possible via mobile hotspot.
Pets are allowed after consultation.

The house is located on the outskirts of a small village and has 1ha of land, of which about 2500m2 is garden, the rest is forest/hill. From the house you can make fantastic walks (walking maps are available). The baker is 2 km from the house, once a week there is a mobile shop along. Large supermarkets are fifteen minutes away by car.
Furthermore, the village has a hotel/restaurant and an eatery.

Restaurants, food & wine
The culinary delights of this region are well catered for. There are many restaurants, with or without a Michelin star, where you can have a great meal for a reasonable price in an atmospheric ambiance. Furthermore, there are of course the ferme auberges, where you can also have a good time and where mainly the local dishes are served.

Activities
Hiking, cycling (race/ATB), swimming, skiing/tracking, golf and horseback riding are all possible in the immediate vicinity.
If you want to visit a city, you can reach Strasbourg and Colmar in 45 minutes. In Strasbourg, you will find many luxury shops, the Printemps and Lafayette department stores and fantastic caterers. If you would like to visit a typical district, we recommend La Petite France with its beautiful half-timbered houses and nice restaurants.
Furthermore, Freiburg and Basel are within easy reach.
If you want to taste wine, you are within 20 minutes on the wine route, where you are welcome at the many producers.

Further remarks
The house has recently been completely renovated. It is an approximately 200-year-old typical Vosges farmhouse, which has been furnished very luxuriously. The renovation was completed in 2010. The house has a spacious living room of 80m2 with fireplace, a dining room of 30m2 also with fireplace, a luxury kitchen with all appliances, 5 spacious bedrooms with excellent beds and 4 very luxurious bathrooms, 1 with sauna and 2 with bath.
Use of bed linen and towels is included, as is final cleaning.
Pets are allowed after consultation, smoking is not allowed.
Internet and television are not available.

Werkelijk een fantastisch huis, van alle gemakken voorzien. Ik was er recent met twee anderen en we hebben genoten. Alles was erg fraai afgewerkt, met oog voor detail. Heel mooi gelegen, redelijk vrij, maar ook centraal in het dorp. In de nabije omgeving zijn een aantal zeer goede restaurants te vinden. Ook heel geschikt als uitvalsbasis voor langere -fiets- of wandeltochten in de buurt.

Dank voor je enthousiaste reactie! Gelukkig hebben we heel veel tevreden huurders, die genoten hebben van een verblijf in ons huis.

Het is alweer twee jaar geleden dat we in La Ferme Collonel verbleven en nog steeds denken we regelmatig met heimwee terug naar dit prachtige huis.
Het huis is zeer luxe; van alle gemakken voorzien en meer dan dat. Overal is aan gedacht en het huis voelt dan ook als een warme deken. Vakantie vieren op z'n best!De omgeving is prachtig en nog niet goed bekend en je treft er dan (gelukkig) ook geen toeristenmassa's. Het huis biedt een goede uitvalsbasis voor het ontdekken van de Elzas met mooie dorpen en steden als Straatsburg, Colmar en Riquewihr. Vakwerkhuizen, bergen en een prachtige natuur.
We zouden graag nog eens terug willen komen en genieten van jullie heerlijke huis, maar voor onze zoon Wessel is het helaas minder geschikt. Voorlopig moeten we het dus doen met de fijne herinneringen die we aan onze vakantie in La Ferme Collonel hebben :-).
