The house
Surrounded by greenery, horses, cows and whistling birds ... here you can do nothing but relax! Beautifully situated at the end of a dead end road, on a hill with a magnificent view of the surroundings, we offer you a comfortable and spacious holiday home for 6 persons.
On the ground floor:
A spacious kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas cooker, oven and microwave), with French doors to the garden.
In the living room there is a dining area, reading area and cosy sitting area around the wood stove. There is a television (with Dutch channels) and DVD player. For a rainy day the games and DVDs are ready for you. When the weather is nice, open the folding doors and enjoy the sun.
The bathroom is on the ground floor and is equipped with a bathtub, sink and toilet.
Upstairs are three bedrooms. Room 1 has a double bed of 140 x 200. Room 2 has two single beds and room 3 has a double bed of 160 x 200. Upstairs there is also a second toilet with washbasin.
In the basement there is a table tennis table and a washing machine.

Located outside the village of Mardilly, in the hills between woods and meadows. Ideal to enjoy nature, tranquillity and space. Around the house is a lovely large garden with (fruit) trees. At the rear of the house is a large terrace (with garden furniture) overlooking the adjacent horse pasture, cows, and surrounding hills.

We hebben een heerlijke week doorgebracht in dit mooie huisje. Vooral de ligging is echt geweldig, wat een ruimte, rust en uitzicht! Er is altijd wel ergens een plekje om in de zon of uit de wind te zitten. En lekker dichtbij een stadje (Gacé) voor de verse broodjes iedere morgen. We hebben uitstapjes gemaakt naar Montormel, Lisieux en Omaha Beach. Die laatste is wel een eindje rijden, maar is prima te doen. Perfect is ook dat alles inclusief is: verwarming, stroom en zelfs hout voor de open haard.

Heel mooi huisje, van alle gemakken voorzien. Rustig gelegen in de natuur tussen de koeien. Hele hartelijke ontvangst. Kortom prima vakantie gehad.

Heerlijk weekje tot rust komen in het prachtige Normandië. Ook in de herfst een dikke aanrader, het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien, het thermostaat zorgt er voor dat je s'ochtends wakker wordt in een aangenaam lekker huis en daarna zelf lekker hout sprokkelen om de houtkachel lekker te stoken. De omgeving is prachtig en heerlijk rustig, wij kwamen er helemaal tot rust:)
Restaurants, food & wine
The Normandy 'wine' is apple cider and it is still produced here on a large scale, privately and commercially. A visit to a ferme de cidre is a must. Besides cider, you can also taste the pear variety: poiré and the cider in distilled form: calvados. A glass of cider should of course be accompanied by a (raw milk) Camembert. Or do you prefer Livarot, Pont l'Eveque or Neufchâtel? Visit the cheese dairy in Livarot and choose your favourite Normandy cheese!
Activities
The immediate surroundings are perfect for lovely walks. Even on the paved roads there is hardly any traffic. In the house is a walking map, which you can use to explore the area even better.
The Normandy coast, the famous landing beaches, are an hour's drive away. But why not start your day in Montormel (20 min), where the great Battle of Normandy ended! Furthermore, there are picturesque villages, markets, cider farms, cheese factories (Camembert, Livarot), brocant shops and flea markets to visit. If you are a horse lover, a visit to the National Stud Hars du Pin is definitely worthwhile! On summer days, you can use the outdoor swimming pool in Gacé. Indoor swimming pools are half an hour's drive away.

Further remarks
The house is rented throughout the year. In addition to the wood-burning stove in the living room, the house also has central heating. The use of firewood, gas, water and heating oil is included in the rental price.
Dogs are allowed in consultation (on the ground floor).
It is not allowed to smoke in the house.

High season (July and August). €670 per week
Mid-season (spring-may-autumn and Christmas holidays). €550,- per week
Low season (all periods not mentioned). €470,- per week (€70,- per night, minimum three nights)
For your convenience, we rent linen. A linen package consists of bed linen, towels and kitchen linen. The costs for the whole package are €8,00 p.p. For stays of several weeks we offer you the possibility of a change of the whole package.
The cleaning costs of €50 are compulsory and are not included in the rental price.
In the low season (November to April) we also rent for shorter periods by arrangement, from 3 nights, arrival day flexible.
