The house
At the edge of the village limits of Neuville sur Touques lies our cosy holiday house on over 6000m² own ground, between meadows, orchard and forest.
The authentic half-timbered house is laid out as follows:
You enter the house in the cosy kitchen with a large dining table. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee maker, Senseo and fridge freezer.
The adjoining living room has a TV with Dutch channels and a DVD player. In the cupboard there are board games and reading material for you.
The bathroom (ground floor) has a lovely bath, spacious walk-in rain shower and washbasin. There is also a washing machine.
There is a separate toilet with hand basin.
The three upstairs bedrooms are suitable for two persons each. Two bedrooms have single beds and one bedroom has a double bed. The single beds can be joined together to make a double bed. There is room to add a cot (on request).

On the outskirts of the village of Neuville sur Touques, between the larger villages of Gacé and Vimoutiers, lies our holiday home on over 6000m² of private land, between meadows, apple orchard and forest. Peace, quiet, nature...
The garden consists of a large meadow, which is 'maintained' by our livestock (donkeys and sheep), a large (play) lawn of about 700m² with playground equipment (swings, slide and rope ladder) and a terrace with garden table and chairs. Deck chairs and a barbecue enhance the holiday atmosphere of pleasant idleness and enjoyment. Very spacious parking and shed for your bikes.

We hebben een fantastische week achter de rug. We hebben erg hebben genoten van jullie huis, de weidsheid de rust en de omgeving.
Huis erg comfortabel van alle gemakken voorzien, authentiek en toch aan de tijd aangepast.

Een verblijf overwegen in Hachetière en de periode blijkt vrij te zijn… Boeken dus! Hanneke en Martijn reageren snel en communiceren helder. Bij aankomst verrast met heerlijkheden uit de streek.
Ook deze keer weer zo genoten van het huis en de omgeving. Wel spijt gehad dat ik alleen truien mee had genomen, want de zon was er ook enkele dagen. De open haard ‘s avonds aansteken was een echte mannenklus!
Op de markten lokaal geproduceerde groenten gescoord (waaronder blad van paardebloemen) en honing bij buurman boer.

Beste Hanneke en Martijn,
Voor ons een top gezellig vakantiehuis met alles er op en aan. Zeer geschikt voor mensen die afhankelijk zijn van een rolstoel ook de keuken ( met alles wat men nodig heeft) en natte cel is zeer praktisch ingedeeld voor de rolstoel.
Als je van stilte en rust houd moet je hier wezen.
De aanwezige faciliteiten internet, TV zijn prima verzorgt.

Wat fijn dat jullie bij ons een vakantieplek hebben gevonden die aansluit bij jullie mogelijkheden en beperkingen.
Jullie waren onze eerste gasten die het huis daadwerkelijk hebben getest op rolstoelvriendelijkheid, gelukkig zijn we geslaagd!

Restaurants, food & wine
The Normandy 'wine' is apple cider and it is still produced here on a large scale, privately and commercially. A visit and tasting at a ferme de cidre is a must. Besides cider, you can also taste the pear variety: poiré and the cider in distilled form: calvados.
A glass of cider should of course be accompanied by a (raw milk) Camembert. Or do you prefer Livarot, Pont l'Eveque or Neufchâtel? Visit the cheese dairy in Livarot and choose your favourite Normandy cheese!
Activities
In the immediate vicinity you can go for lovely walks. Visit the small, picturesque villages (Le Sap, Broglie, Orbec) or larger cities (Bernay, Lisieux, Rouen) and see the beautiful half-timbered houses, local museums, weekly markets and of course a visit to the flea market or brocante should not be missed.
Also worth a visit are the National Stud Haras du Pin, various gardens and castles and the producers of local products: cider, calvados and camembert!
Book a day for an impressive trip along the landing beaches.

Further remarks
The house can be heated with the wood-burning stove and electric radiators. Use of wood, electricity and water are included in the rental price.
Dogs are allowed in consultation (on the ground floor).
It is not allowed to smoke in the house.

Additional price info and offers
High season (July and August) €620,- per week
Mid season (spring, May, autumn and Christmas holidays) €475,- per week
Low season (all periods not mentioned above) €420,- per week (€70,- per night minimum 3 nights from November till April)
In the months January, February, March, April, September, October, November and December (except holidays) we rent from three nights and there can be varied with the changeover day if possible.

For your convenience we rent linen for bed, bath and kitchen. The costs for the whole package are €8,00 p.p. For stays of several weeks, a change of the whole package is possible.
