Hirondelles Villa is a private villa with private swimming pool in south west France near Cognac with stunning views over open countryside & huge garden.
Our pricing is based on the beds used so is lower for parties of fewer than 7 people. IMPORTANT : Price for 4 people - this can be discounted more from that advertised when only two bedrooms and one bathroom are used - contact us or search for petit hirondelle. Discounts available depending on the ages and numbers of children.

This exclusive private villa sleeps 8 in four bedrooms and has it's own private swimming pool. Ideal for a relaxing family friendly holiday in rural France. It has two double rooms and two twin rooms with two full bathrooms yet can also be let as a 2 bedroomed, 1 bathroomed property at certain times of year. There is a central spacious fully equipped kitchen , sitting and dining area. Huge outdoor garden with views overlooking open countryside. The swimming pool (8mx4m) is fenced and alarmed for safety and is a real suntrap with a large sunbathing terrace complete with sun loungers. plenty of parking for several cars - an ideal house to share with friends or for one larger family. A real 'get away from it all family holiday'

The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel range cooker with electric oven / grill and 4 ring gas hob. There is also a smaller electric oven if you just want to cook a pizza or similar. There is a microwave, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine, fridge freezer and extra drinks fridge plus all the crockery and cutlery needed for a comfortable self catering holiday in rural France.
All the bedrooms have in built wardrobes and sets of draws. Both double rooms have 1m50 wide beds. All the single beds are standard 0.90mx1m90. There is a double and twin room plus a full bathroom on each side of the house so ideal for two families to share as you have an element of privacy as the large kitchen and sitting room are inbetween.

Outside there is a huge garden (unfenced) with views over fields filled with crops such as maize, wheat and sunflowers. Loads of space to play ball games. There is an outdoor dining table to seat 8 with parasol and good sized brick (charcoal) barbecue.

Set in the heart of the French countryside, there are stunning views in all directions. The local rural French town of st Jean d'Angely with its twice weekly market, bars, restaurants and supermarkets is just a short drive away. Cognac (distillery tours), Saintes (Roman ampitheatre) , La Rochelle (seafood restaurants) are all within an easy drive and the coast with hundreds of km of sandy beaches is also a great day trip when staying at this private villa.

As well as Cognac, Saintes, La Rochelle and St Jean d'Angely , Villa Hirondelles is centrally located for the cities of Bordeaux, Angouleme and Niort too. With good motorway access and airports in Nantes, Limoges, Poitiers, Bordeaux and La Rochelle too, it's east to travel to Villa Hirondelles.

Family friendly things to do: Visit the world famous vineyards of Bordeaux, browse the traditional French markets in St Jean d'Angely, take the kids to the animal park in La Palmyre or the aquarium in La Rochelle, enjoy a delicious meal in one of the many restaurants or just lie by your private pool with a good book.

Other notes:
There are no parasols provided by the pool area. Smoking and vaping is not allowed inside the house. No loud music to be heard outside the house as the sound travels very easily in the countryside and our neighbours (although not close) will be able to hear it.

WINTER BOOKINGS
Between 1st October and 30th April bookings are a minimum of 1 month and are at a significantly reduced rate but do not include the pool (closed down) electricity, wood or gas.
