Moulin des Forges - Penthouse Apartment

Moulin des Forges Gites, Camping & Glamping is a family and pet friendly site of 3 gites, glamping units and 6 camping pitches.

Set on 4 acres of peaceful woodland, lakes and streams in the beautiful Creuse countryside. It is an idyllic spot to relax, unwind as well as being a great location to set off and explore all the Creuse has to offer. We welcome our guests to take advantage of the lovely scenery and walk around the Mill ponds, sit by the waterfall, relax in the tranquil and natural setting. Moulin des Forges also has a heated swimming pool and fully equipped games room, with a snooker table, dart board, games console, books and dvds.

The Penthouse apartment is one of 3 gites located on our site sharing the great facilities.

The gite has 1 king sized bedroom and 1 twin room. A shower-room, kitchen/dining area and living space with pull out sofa bed. It is an apartment located on the top floor of the old Mill building, access is via its own front door and up some interior stairs to accommodation all on one level. The bathroom has a shower cubicle, sink and toilet. The main living area is made up of a kitchen and dining area, sofa and tv.

Outside the entrance to the Penthouse Apartment Gite is your own seating area just next to the Mills waterfall and river. A picnic table, bbq and comfortable seating has been set up for this Gite.

We do accept pets at a charge of 25€ per pet. This gite is limited to one dog. We ask guests not to leave their dogs alone in the gite for too long.

Moulin des Forges is set on the outskirts of the pretty village of Moutier Malcard. There is a shop in the village. The nearest supermarkets are in the villages of Bonnat (10 min drive) Aigurande (10 minute drive).The towns of La Chatre And Gueret are 20 minute drive. Please note France operates lunchtime closures of most shops 12-2 daily. Wednesday afternoon closures and shut all day on Sunday. We suggest guests look at when they are arriving and plan to shop accordingly before arrival. Our boulangerie van visits the site every Tuesday and Friday morning between 9-10am.
