The house
The holiday home " La Petite Maison " is part of our small, child-friendly holiday complex Hameau du Soleil with heated swimming pool where seven holiday homes are situated.
La Petite Maison is a semi-detached house and has its own grounds on one side to play and relax or put something tasty on the barbecue.
The house is spacious and tastefully furnished and equipped with all comforts. There are beautiful beamed ceilings, with a parquet floor on the floor and tiles downstairs. Downstairs is a dining area, kitchen and sitting area with sofa and satellite TV with reception of all Dutch channels. The kitchen is well equipped and has all the comforts such as washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, 4-ring gas hob, coffee machine and kettle. In this house are 3 bedrooms, two bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with bunk beds. Shower and toilet on the first floor.
In this holiday home, the old fireplace has been preserved, as well as the old beams on the floor. The holiday home has a sunny terrace with sitting area, 2 sun beds, parasol and barbecue, from where you have a magnificent view over the spacious estate.

Hameau du Soleil' is located on the border of the departments Dordogne and Lot and is surrounded by lovely and very varied hilly landscape with many forests and meadows. It is surrounded by characteristic small villages and picturesque towns, such as Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon. Here, you can enjoy a delicious glass of wine on a terrace and also get to know the very varied French cuisine. The Dordogne is also very popular for its many famous castles. The closest one is Castle Fenelon in Sainte Mondane. The region is also known for its caves, such as the prehistoric caves of Gougnac, near Gourdon.
Markets can be found in all villages in the area, as well as summer festivals and brocantes. The medieval town of Sarlat, with its cultural festivals and many street artists, is well worth a visit in the evening. Near the beautiful town of Domme is an air base, from which you can view the beautiful surroundings from the air. And what about the city of Cahors? With its old city parts and its Pont Valentré, this city is definitely worth a visit. Also, the region of Cahors is famous for its excellent wines, many wine cellars are open to the public. And not to forget the pilgrimage town of Rocamadour, which attracts many visitors every year, also known for its delicious goat cheese.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad. Leuke gite, alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt.

Voor de tweede keer zijn we twee weken in Hameau du Soleil geweest. We verbleven weer in Le Coquelicot, omdat we dit een schattig, perfect huisje vinden. Niet zo groot, maar groot genoeg voor twee personen en het ontbreekt je nergens aan. Verder een prachtig terrein, een heerlijk zwembad en eigenaren die er alles aan doen om het hun gasten naar de zin te maken. Een plek om tot rust te komen, maar ook een uitvalsbasis voor al het moois dat in de omgeving te zien en te beleven is. Een aanrader!

Een leuke plek voor een vakantie wij hadden 3 weken geboekt, maar helaas heeft het weer ons tegen gespeeld. Wij kwamen aan op een zonnige zaterdag met onze twee hondjes. Toch vanaf zondag t/m de volgende week zaterdag heeft het geregend de tweede week klaarde het op maar de vooruitzichten voor de derde week waren zo slecht dat wij een weekje eerder na huis zijn gegaan. Het huisje wat wij huurden was perfect alles wat wij nodig hadden was aanwezig. In de koude natte week hebben wij iedere dag de hout kachel aangehad en de eigenaren zorgden dat er voldoende hout aanwezig was.
Kees en Eva dank voor jullie goede zorg en wij komen zeker nog eens terug wanneer het weer beter is (in heel Europa ) Maar ondanks het weer hebben wij twee fijne weken gehad en tevens een dank van de hondjes.
Activities
Hameau du Soleil is very child-friendly. The complex, 2 hectares, has a large meadow, so plenty of room to play for the children. For the little ones, there are swings, a sandpit and a climbing frame. There are also opportunities for sports, such as badminton, volleyball and table tennis. The heated swimming pool (12x6m) is located centrally and offers a splendid view of the landscape. The swimming water is also chlorine-free. Around the pool is a large terrace, with sun loungers and parasols, where you can relax.
There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. You can walk endlessly in the unspoilt nature and enjoy the beautiful views. You can go horseback riding or play tennis. Or you can go down the Dordogne River in a rented canoe and enjoy a picnic on one of the many pebble beaches along the way. There are also several golf courses and theme parks nearby. In the vicinity, you can rent bicycles, so you can explore the beautiful surroundings by bike.

Further remarks
'Hameau du Soleil' is very suitable for a stay with children.
The swimming pool is heated ecologically.
Given the location of the houses, they are also suitable for larger groups (max. 40 people).
