The house
This holiday home is situated in the courtyard of the estate, with the orangery on the other side. The house is equipped with: rustic kitchen with refrigerator, cooker, oven, all necessary kitchen utensils and a fireplace at table height.
On the ground floor: bedroom with double bed, bathroom with bath and toilet.
On the 1st floor: bedroom with 2 single beds, private bathroom with shower, toilet and extra child's bed.
Gîte and orangery are rustically furnished.
The orangery is a large, high, light room with plants and a fountain. This space can be used by the tenants of the gîte. This space is suitable to accommodate a small group for a joint dinner. But because of the beautiful light, the orangery is also suitable to be used as a studio space, for course settings and work meetings.

In the rolling French landscape of the Perigord Noir (Dordogne) time has stood still. The Clos de la Comtesse estate stretches over 15 hectares of woods, pastures and gardens. Once a bustling farm, this is now an oasis of calm, set in the beautiful countryside near Sarlat, Gourdon and Souillac on the banks of the Dordogne river.

Rustic cottage with an orangery. In the former citerne you'll find a surprisingly heated swimming pool (in the middle of the garden under one of the buildings).

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. Le Clos straalt zoveel rust en kalmte uit, je komt even in een andere wereld waar je het leven van alledag helemaal los kunt laten. Frank en Ellen hebben ons heel hartelijk ontvangen en wegwijs gemaakt. Ook onze hond was een graag geziene gast, daar werden we extra blij van. De binnentuin (cour) is fantastisch. Heerlijk groot, met altijd zon en schaduw, mooie planten en bomen en een fijn uitzicht. Bij goed weer hadden wij niks extra's meer nodig. Bij de regen die we helaas ook hadden was het goed toeven met een boek en muziek in de Orangerie. In de directe omgeving kun je heerlijke wandelingen maken. Het landschap is prachtig en afwisselend. Op warme dagen is het originele zwembad in de citerne heerlijk fris en verkoelend. Kortom: een heel fijne plek vol rust en ruimte.

Twee heerlijke weken gehad in Clos de la Comtesse. Genoten van de prachtige locatie met een geweldig uitzicht en heel veel rust. Ook het zwembad was een heerlijke verkoeling in het warme Dordogne.

Clos de la comtesse is werkelijk een prachtige plek! Er zijn 2 ruime gites met alles erop en eraan. Super mooie details en op en top Frans. Het fijnste moment is als je s’ochtend wakker wordt en je kopje koffie drinkt op de cour. De rust de stilte en het schitterende uitzicht! Je kan er heerlijk eten aan de grote tafel onder de parasol in de schaduw. Ellen is een super vriendelijk vrouw waar je met al je vragen terecht kan en heel snel reageert. De omgeving is ook heel fijn, gezellige dorpjes met heerlijke restaurantjes en heel veel mooie plekjes waar je zo de Dordogne in kan duiken( wel je waterschoenen meenemen!) hopelijk komen we nog een keer terug op deze fantastische plek!

The lively weekly markets in Sarlat, Saint-Julien de lampon, Souillac and Gourdon.
Wine houses abound and the famous walnut tarts are on sale everywhere, as is foie gras for lovers.

The estate Clos de la Comtesse is situated 3 kilometres from the river Dordogne in the hilly landscape of Veyrignac. Nearby historical towns like Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon.
