The house
A two bedroom first floor converted tobacco barn, beautifully furnished and complete with wood burner for colder months, sitting in fully enclosed garden of 15 acres. Visitors have full use of all at Les Pignons, and being the sole Gite at the property, have it all to themselves. The owners live in their own house on the property and are there to help with anything you may need but at the same time, leave you to enjoy your holiday without interruption. Having been newly refurbished in 2017, Gite Les Pignons provides all home comforts along with a beautiful setting for your holiday. If you would like to holiday with extended family or friends, there are two double bedrooms available for b&b in the main house. Please enquire for price.
Kitchen and dining
Gite Les Pignons has a large open plan living area which includes kitchen, lounge and dining area.
Kitchen includes fridge, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, iron, ironing board and all usual kitchen equipment for you to fully cater during your stay.Dining area includes table and chairs, lamp.
Living rooms
The living area includes two large new sofas, a large coffee table, a small bar constructed from local vines, a woodburner for the colder months, a tv with English channels, dvd player with a selection of dvds, coffee table with local information available.
Bedrooms
One large double bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers, super kingsize bed and one twin room with two single beds or one double bed, depending on which you would prefer and drawer/seating bench. Travel cot available. Both rooms have standing fans for warmer months. All rooms have electric wall mounted radiators for the cooler months.

Set amongst the vineyards, sunflower fields and prune orchards in the ‘Entre deux mers’ region of The Gironde in SW France, Les Pignons is situated between the historic towns of Monsegur and La Reole, both of which are around 5km distance away. This location means visitors have the privacy and tranquility of country living whilst being only five minutes from towns offering bars, restaurants and markets. Only half an hour from the famous St Emilion, and an hour’s drive from the beautiful cities of Bordeaux and Bergerac.

Met onze tweeling van 8 jaar bij Jo en Adie verbleven. Zeer gastvrij en vriendelijk ontvangen.
Het thuisgevoel op een zeer mooie locatie.
Lekker kunnen vissen in het meer in de tuin van de Gites. Evenals dat de kinderen hier lekker konden rennen, voetballen, vliegen met onze drone, zwemmen en dat alles in volle privacy.
Jo en Adie zijn heel leuk met de kinderen, open en makkelijk benaderbaar, maar respecteren je privacy.

Wij hebben als gezin met 3 tieners een fantastische vakantie beleefd bij Jo en Andy in de gite. Enorm genoten van hun gastvrijheid (ze zijn zeker niet opdringerig). Ze doen alles om jou een fijne tijd te laten beleven. Onze kinderen hadden het super in de gym (workout met Ady ) en in de speelruimte (tafeltennis, poolen en de gezellige bar). Het zwembad is heerlijk en met de golfbaan in de achtertuin heb je een zee aan ruimte om je heen Het is echt een paradijsje!! De gite zelf is heerlijk ruim en schoon. Kortom zeker een aanrader volgens ons.

Restaurants, food & wine
Both Monsegur and La Reole have a number of good restaurants and bars boasting French cuisine as well as tapas and pizza, and in the summer, a number of local towns hold night markets which offer a wide range of food, music and entertainment. Being in the center of the Bordeaux wine region, there are a number of local vineyards which offer tours and wine tasting which can be reached by foot, bicycle or car. For those who wish to experience fine dining, there are a number of Michelin star restaurants in the vicinity, and the owners are happy to offer a meal cooked for you on the balcony overlooking the beautiful countryside (price and menu agreed in advance).
Activities
Grounds include lake with rowing boat and fishing, outdoor swimming pool, 9 hole fun golf course (golf clubs available for use), football net, very large bar/ games room with pool table, table tennis table, table football, darts, numerous indoor games, outdoor toys for children, well equipped gym with weights, bench etc, rowing machine, cross trainer, exercise bike, running machine and cinema room with 70 inch tv, Netflix, Prime, French and English TV. Adult bikes available for local cycle rides. Owners happy to arrange vineyard tours and tasting, lakeside barbecue, pizza evening with wood fired pizza oven, treasure hunt for children, and book any other activities in the surrounding area during your stay, such as kayaking on the Dordogne or high wire adventure for all the family.
Garden and outside
15 acre garden is fully fenced in, accessed through electronic gates, and has plenty of parking outside Gite. Gite is self contained, separate from main house and has its own front garden with patio with table and chairs and gas bbq, although visitors have full use of the whole garden including pool, lake, gamesroom, gym and golf course. Les Pignons has 6 chickens which provide daily fresh eggs which we share with visitors. The property is surrounded by vineyards, sunflower fields and prune orchards.

Further remarks
Perfect location and facilities for families, couples or friends with plenty to do on site, but also many places of interest to visit within the surrounding area. A home made cake and welcome pack on arrival, free golf lessons from the owner, bbq evening over the fire pit by the lake, pizza evening with wood fired pizza oven, treasure hunt for young children all available.
