The house
The most beautiful view in the whole area! Light and space around you. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room with dining area exudes a cosy 60s atmosphere. There is a user-friendly pallet stove, which can make your stay more pleasant throughout the year. With two easy leather armchairs and a designer sofa, your seating comfort is also amply catered for. The TV offers many (Dutch) channels. Large folding doors bring light and give access to the sheltered, private terrace with beautiful views over the valley and of the setting sun. The bedrooms upstairs are small, but the beds are comfortable. There is enough space to hang up and store your clothes. The bathroom on the ground floor is spacious, fresh and has a lovely shower.

Our recently renovated, privately situated Bergerie is wonderfully rural, just outside the historic town of Rochechouart, situated on the edge of the valley, with panoramic views over the rolling countryside. You can dream away here by the sunset, (predatory) bird watching and enjoy the peace. The house is centrally located for all kinds of activities in the area. The terrace and spacious grounds offer many opportunities for outdoors in sun or shade. The house is well insulated.

La Bergerie is heel idyllisch gelegen en het huis is goed geoutilleerd. De sympathieke eigenaar doet er alles aan om het verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. Groot pluspunt is dat Rochechouart, een bijzonder sfeervol dorp, op loopafstand is.

We hebben een geweldige week gehad bij Kees en Wyta de Jong, ze zijn heel gastvrij en behulpzaam La Bergerie is een gezellig ingericht huis en ook buiten was het prima voor elkaar. Veel gewandeld met de hond en natuurlijk de omgeving verken met de auto. We zullen hun zeker aanraden bij vrienden en kennissen.

La Bergerie is een heerlijk vakantiehuisje. Het is smaakvol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon is geweldig, we hebben er zelfs een moeder ree met kleintje gezien!!
Direct vanuit de Bergerie kun je mooie wandelingen maken, op korte afstand is er een groot meer om te zwemmen, vele mooie dorpjes / stadjes en kastelen in de directe omgeving, kortom er valt genoeg te ondernemen. Verder zijn de eigenaren Kees en Wyta erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben een hele fijne vakantie gehad!

In Rochechouart and its immediate surroundings, there are ample opportunities for many culinary adventures. Top restaurants and everything else within reasonable distance.
Activities
Rochechouart is located in the Haute Vienne, a department of the Limousin. The lovely, sloping landscape invites you to go for long walks and beautiful bicycle rides. In the summer, there are plenty of activities in the area, organised and collected by the various tourist organisations. In summer, the area is bustling with markets and festivals. But there is also plenty of room for individual activities. From the holiday home you can make beautiful trips, enjoy the silence, nature and the view on the terrace or simply get a baguette from the baker in the town, where at such a short distance from the quiet holiday home, the liveliness will surprise you. Cities such as Limoges and Angouleme with their museums and beautiful antiquities are certainly worth a visit. Not too far away, you can also go canoeing or take a cycling tour by velorail (old train track).
