Of course fishing, because there is a huge amount of fish in the Lot and big fish too. Night fishing from the jetty is permitted and we can arrange a fishing license for you.
Everyday of the week you can visit a weekly market somewhere within a few km.
In the immediate vicinity there are several nice museums such as Musée du Foie Gras, Musée des Prunes, and a little further the Musée du Miel and Musee du Chocolat.
Short or longer trips can be made to nearby castles, public gardens, caves and small theme parks. Every trip means a beautiful drive through the very varied landscape.
In the months of July and August there is a summer market somewhere every day with music, the "Gourmand" where you can have a great meal. Various producers sell their own products in stalls such as bread, wine, cheese, roasted chicken, salads, fries and sausages, snails, foie gras and much more, but you can also bring your own food / drinks. Everyone joins in at the long communal tables, eating, drinking and chatting and it is all very informal.
The gite is located directly on the Lot and offers many water sports possibilities, such as rowing, water skiing, canoeing.
For those who love golf: there are several golf courses in the immediate vicinity, including the 18-hole golf course Castelnaud (20 minutes) with a proshop and a good restaurant. Tombeboeuf (also 20 minutes) has a challenging 9-hole course. And, if you are willing to drive a little longer, there are quite a few beautiful courses.
Almost all towns have an 'Office de Tourisme', where plenty of information and leaflet material is available, but we also provide you with lots of interesting information in the gite.
