Ground floor:
When opening the gate on the street side you reach the courtyard / garden to the front door of the house. Upon entering you arrive in the living room which is equipped with a television with many Dutch channels, a computer with fast internet & comfortable (sleeping) sofa. The living room is connected to the garden by a large sliding door. Adjacent to the living room is an open kitchen which is fully equipped (dishwasher, oven/microwave, induction cooker etc.). The kitchen provides access to the storage room, laundry room and bathroom. The bathroom is luxurious and very spacious with a bath, large shower, double sink and (towel) heating (this heating brings the bathroom quickly up to temperature even in winter months). In the laundry room is a washing machine, in the spacious storage room a drying rack.
Floor:
Via the staircase in the living room you reach the landing of the first floor. This landing borders on 4 bedrooms & a bathroom. The spacious roof terrace is accessible from 2 bedrooms (bedroom 1 & 2 on the floor plan). These 2 bedrooms both have a double bed and large doors. Bedroom 3 offers accommodation for 4 people by means of 2 bunk beds. The last bedroom, room 4, has a double and single bed, in this room there is a television with Dutch channels.

The holiday home has a large courtyard/garden and a very spacious roof terrace.
In the garden there is a barbecue and sun loungers are available. In the summer you can enjoy the wine from the local cave in the garden.
The holiday home is located in the Minervois in the largest wine region of France on the border of the departments Herault and Aude.
The village "Pouzols-Minervois" is situated in the Aude, close to the "Canal du midi" and at about 35km from the Mediterranean Sea.
Pouzols has 300 inhabitants and is picturesquely beautiful, as are many of the surrounding villages which are also surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The Minervois has a Mediterranean climate with an average of 300 sunny days (3000 hours) per year * (!) Palm and fig trees are therefore a normal phenomenon here (There is a palm and fig tree in our garden).
The Climate is very pleasant. With its warm summers and relatively mild winters (average 13 degrees) it is always pleasant to live.

Restaurants, food & wine
Apart from a small bakery and the "allo allo" peddlers, you will probably find several large supermarkets at a maximum distance of 10 km for your groceries.
Wine can be bought in ample quantities in the village from the largest cave in the Minervois, both in bottles and in 5 or 10 litre barrels. This cave supplies the best wines from the region and of course its own extraordinarily tasty wines.
For a restaurant you don't have to look far, good restaurants can be found within a 5 minutes drive.

Activities
On the Mediterranean coast, you will find many cosy seaside resorts and very spacious, clean sandy beaches. The rivers too (such as the Cesse near Bize) are perfect for a day of sunbathing and swimming
Between October and February, you can go skiing in Camurac, a 2-hour drive from Pouzols-Minervois. If you go by navigation system, it is inevitable that you will be sent through narrow but passable roads with -moreover- beautiful surroundings. The travel time is then +/- 3 hours.
There are plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling and.... traffic jams are non-existent; you imagine yourself back in time, but with good roads. The route to the beach is also traffic-free in high season and it remains a pleasure to drive especially the stretch between Narbonne and Narbonne-Plage because of the beautiful nature. A tennis court, football pitch and a "jeu de boule" square can be found within walking distance.

Further remarks
For rent all year round from part: Spacious holiday home in idyllic village with picturesque and peaceful surroundings at the foot of the Montagne Noire (South side). It is located 20 km from Narbonne (Med. Sea) in the Minervois (Lanquedoc and Cathar region!).
Prices vary from € 195,- pw (low season) to € 795,- pw (high season). These prices are based on up to 8 people. In consultation 11 persons are possible, with a surcharge of € 75,- pppw. For less persons an adjusted price is possible, as well as a stay for a longer period.
The house is fully insulated so you can stay here in the winter. It also has a heating system.
Ideal for both peace seekers (nature; biking; sightseeing; quiet beaches) and sun worshipers and active holidays (Great quiet beaches -but also busy such as Narbonne Plage- rivers canals lakes, white water canoeing; horseback riding; tennis etc.).
