The house
Gîte Corbières is a lovely holiday home with unbeatable views of the Carcassonne valley and the Pyrenees. This spacious holiday home (gîte) that excels in terms of interior design and luxury, has an area of 94m2 and can accommodate 4 people.
The gîte has barn chic style furnishings, a fantastically equipped kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine, TV, wireless speaker and blissful beds with quality bed linen and big soft towels.
Large panoramic patio doors open onto the spacious private terrace with barbecue, lounge area and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Domaine de la Bade is a paradise! Near the famous city of Carcassonne, Joep & Miranda have completely converted a traditional farmhouse with old barns into five modern "barn chic style" holiday homes (gȋtes) with swimming pool. With spectacular views of the Carcassonne valley and the Pyrenees, Domaine de la Bade is the ideal location to enjoy a relaxing holiday in this charming region of southern France. Here, enjoy the sunny terraces, shady corners, lovely pool, lazy hammocks, delicious food, fine wines and, above all, the relaxed and informal atmosphere where you can really feel at home.
Domaine de la Bade is also a true holiday paradise for children. While you can relax and read a book, the children have plenty of room to romp and enjoy themselves! The swimming pool, swings, trampolines and wandering through the fields on the 14-hectare estate (without proximity to busy roads) are the favourite pastimes of our youngest guests.

Domaine de la Bade is located near Carcassonne in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region of sunny southern France. The domain is surrounded by sunflower fields, vineyards and olive groves. There are no busy roads passing the property and there is plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors and relax.
Domaine de la Bade is situated in the department "Aude" that stretches from the Mediterranean Sea to the Pyrenees. The land of the Cathars is a hospitable region with a unique history, beautiful scenery and inhabitants who have a strong preference for festivities.

Beautiful location, great hosts, Miranda and Joup couldn’t do enough for you. amazing table de hôte meal prepared for all the guests too we really enjoyed it. so safe for the children too, the whole family really enjoyed their holidays and we’d definitely book again.

Joep en Miranda hebben het helemaal begrepen hoor: dit is onbezorgd vakantie vieren! Ze hebben echt een paradijsje gemaakt, dat ze met veel zorg en liefde goed onderhouden. Voor kids is het er heerlijk: nieuwe vriendjes/vriendinnetjes zijn zo gemaakt in de ontspannen en kleinschalige setting; voor de ouders kun je de gezelligheid opzoeken maar heb je ook je eigen space. De appartementen (wij zaten in Corbieres) zijn werkelijk schitterend ontworpen en ingericht, het uitzicht is geweldig, het zwembad en speeltoestellen zeer prettig. Joep kookt lekker, Miranda is een fijne gastvrouw. Je merkt dat ze uit de serviceverlening komen. Volgend jaar gaan we weer (en dat doe ik anders nooit..!).

Domaine de la Bade is een paradijsje. Miranda en Joep hebben echt iets geweldigs neergezet, en met veel passie en servicegerichtheid bieden ze je een heerlijke vakantie. De appartementen zijn mooi, schoon en ruim. Een prachtig aangelegd zwembad, met een uitzicht to-die-for. Voor de kids zijn er trampo's en een pingpong. Samen eten en borrelen (mag vaker!) maken het af. En dan natuurlijk dagelijks vers brood en een gezellig praatje. Wij komen, tegen onze principes in, volgend jaar weer!
Restaurants, food & wine
Eating and drinking are among the locals' favourite pastimes and the area is blessed with fine restaurants, fantastic markets and many wine estates where you can sample a delicious glass of wine. But having a cup of coffee on a sleepy terrace in the area or a picnic along the beautiful Canal du Midi is not to be sneezed at either.
There is much to see and do in the land of the Cathars. We are happy to help you discover this beautiful region.
Activities
There is plenty to see and do in the immediate vicinity. The city of Carcassonne with the largest walled castle in Europe is 15 km from the domain. Here you can enjoy various knight shows and festivals in the summer. Near Carcassonne there is also a large lake with a sandy beach (ideal for the little ones) and an adventure park with a climbing and scrambling track, which is one of the highlights for older children.
The beautiful environment with hills, mountains, rivers, lakes and typical French villages has much to offer in the way of sporting activities; mountain biking, cycling, hiking, white water canoeing, rafting, swimming, fishing, boating, visiting caves, skiing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, horse riding, golf and much more.
