The house
Our 4 gites and 2 safari tents are located on a small holiday park in the heart of the village, just 400 metres from the church and village school. The village is quiet yet central between all amenities, sights and activities.
Our gites are equipped with all the appliances you would expect from a luxury holiday home, dishwasher, microwave oven, satellite television with DVD player, Senseo coffee machine, fridge, etc. There are magazines and books, games and toys for the children. The beds are made and kitchen linen is provided. All houses have a private terrace and a beautiful view of the Pyrenees. The luxury safari tents with private sanitary facilities are located on a spacious field with plenty of room to play. To ensure that you are always assured of a fresh and clean holiday home, final cleaning is obligatory. In high season, we have a joint arrival meal on Saturdays. And twice a week there is the possibility to join the Table d'hôtes.

Our grounds cover more than 10,000 square metres and offer opportunities for many activities in summer. The grounds are planted with various types of fruit trees and nut trees, and are surrounded by blackberry bushes. These blackberry bushes give us many jars of jam every year. Of course you are free to pick them, we have a recipe for you so you can make your own jam. For the children there is playground equipment available such as swings, trampoline, a playhouse and a table tennis table. There is also a meadow with a pony and a donkey.

We hebben een week in deze prachtige verbouwde boerderij in Mascaras gelogeerd, vlakbij Tarbes.
De twee (bijzonder charmante) eigenaren, Natasja en Marco hebben al hun smaak, energie en liefde in de restauratie van het huis gestoken. De prachtige oude elementen zijn behouden gebleven zoals de grote schouw, de oude balken en de traditionele zandstenen muren en ook gaven ze leuke adviezen voor kleine restaurantjes en interessante dorpjes in de buurt.
Wij voelden ons gelijk thuis.
Wij hadden een ruime slaapkamer (van de twee) met een groot tweepersoonsbed en een luxe ruime badkamer.
Een flinke woonkamer met tv en aansluitend een hele grote keuken met alles erop en eraan.
Alles even smaakvol ingericht.
En niet te vergeten de enorme tuin met alle faciliteiten, overdekt terras, barbecue, schommels, luxe ligstoelen etc. etc. en een super groot verwarmd zwembad met tevens een badje voor de peuters, echt fantastisch!
De omgeving leent zicht goed voor wandelen en fietsen, het gebied is hier heuvelachtig met mooie vergezichten op de besneeuwde Pyreneeën.

Restaurants, food & wine
The region has many wine estates where especially the Madiran, Saint Mont and the Juracon wine is famous. The villages in the vicinity have markets where often the regional products are central, especially the weekly market in Bagneres de bigorre (15 km) is recommended. Every Thursday there is a large weekly market in Tarbes. In the vicinity and especially Tarbes are good restaurants in abundance.

Within a radius of 30 km there are 2 lakes "Lac d'ârret" and "Lac Soues", 5 Thermal baths, various water sports, stalactite caves,Zoo, Miniature golf, all forms of cycling and hiking, zoos, rock climbing, climbing parks and rivers.
