The house
Paulise is a holiday home on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Abeilhan in Languedoc. The house was completely modernised in 2013 and has a pool since 2014 (6.5 x 3.5 m). The house is on a cul-de-sac with ample parking. On the ground floor there is a hall, a bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower, a separate toilet and a cozy living-dining room with open kitchen.
The living room has a flatscreen TV( with satellite dish) and a music set with aux connection. WIFI connection through the whole house.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, six burner gas cooker with wide oven. There is also a large stainless steel fridge with large freezer compartment.
The French doors give acces to the veranda and garden with swimming pool. The garden has unobstructed vies over the vineyards and the village of Servian in the distance. The swimming pool was installed in July 2014.
The stone staircase in the hallway leads to the first floor. On the spacious landing a bunkbed is placed, there are two bedrooms with each two single beds which can be made into doubles. Cot/camping bed is available..
From the bedrooms you have a lovely view over distant surroundings.
The modern bathroom on the first floor has a wide wash basin and shower. the washing machine is placed in the bathroom. The second floor has a separate WC.

Holiday home Pauline is located on the edge of the village of Abeilhan, in department l'Herault, Languedoc. The house is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac. From the house you have a wonderful view of the vast vineyards. The village square, with baker's, supermarket, restaurant and village cafe at 500 metres walking distance.
In the centre it is clearly visible that the village was built in the Middle Ages. Narrow alleys with sandstone houses offer stunning vistas of the surrounding vineyards.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit huisje, Erg rustig maar typisch frans dorpje. Huisje verder dik in orde en alles is aanwezig. Kinderen hebben lekker lange dagen kunnen zwemmen! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

2 heerlijke weken doorgebracht in de fijne gite, van alles voorzien. Fijn zwembad, veranda en hoekbank. In de omgeving veel leuke dorpjes, mooi strand, de sluisjes waren erg leuk. Zeker een aanrader!

Zéér geslaagd en rustig verblijf in Abeilhan, aan het uiteinde van het dorp. Prima gîte met een tof zwembad, alles is voorzien, perfecte keuken, Verhuurders zijn niet aanwezig in het dorp maar wél perfect bereikbaar indien probleempje.
Een zekere aanrader van ons die al 15 jaren naar de Languedoc gaan.
Restaurants, food & wine
The Languedoc region has many winemakers. Their domaines offer a warm welcome to visitors. You can taste and buy fine wines here, of course.
There are many restaurants in the area, for example in the historic heart of Pezenas and on the coast. On the village square of Abeilhan is a restaurant / pizzeria and a bar. Nearby, amidst the vineyards, you can dine in the garden or by the fireplace in restaurant Chateau Hermitage de Combas Servian.
Activities
Due to its location Albeilhan is suitable for a holiday with a variety of activities. Is is wonderful cycling and walking in and around the village, with winding roads on the hills between the vast vineyards.
Two concrete tennis courts are freely available and are only 300 meters walking from the house. In the neighbouring village of Servian is a public indoor and open air swimming pool.
The coast is only 30 kms away and has wide sand beaches, The Mediterranean coast has quiet beaches as well as trendy beach clubs where you can enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner. A variety of water sports and activities are possible on the beach. From Cap d'Agde you can rent boats for day trips at sea and through the Canal du Midi and then via Sete back to Cap d'Agde. Cap d'Agde also has water theme park Aqualand which is a populair day out for children.
The beautiful town of Pezenas, with its artists, galeries and antique shops is 15 kms away. Towns like Bezier and Agde, which was founded by the Romans, are easy to reach.
More inland there are also a large variety of activities and sights. From canoeing in Roquebrun and climbing in Cirque de Moureze to golf on the magnificent golfcourses in the area. The Clamouse caves offer an impressive underground spectacle. Parc Regional du Languedoc has beautiful routes for driving.

Fancy a weekend away? Abeilhan is easily accessible from the airports of Beziers (18kms), Montpellier (75 km), and Carcassonne (90 km).
