The gîte can accommodate up to 6 people and has 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and washbasin, a separate toilet, a living and dining area, a kitchen, satellite television, wifi and a washing machine. There are two single beds in every bedroom; in two of the three bedrooms these two single beds can be made into one large double bed with an extra double topper for maximum comfort. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a freezer, an electric stove, a microwave and a wide range of kitchen utensils. All windows have wooden shutters and double glass, so in the warm summer months the house remains quite cool.

We are happy to welcome you to our uniquely situated domaine Le Petit Viala, amidst beautiful nature and only a stone’s throw from the romantic Canal du Midi.

Le Petit Viala is situated in the Hérault department, in the middle of nature and in the close vicinity of Béziers and Narbonne. Our domaine is just outside the hamlet of Le Viala, which belongs to the village of Capestang, a charming village built around the Canal du Midi. The smaller village Poilhes, situated on a hill along the Canal, is also closeby.

    Beste Greg en Patricia,
    Bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid om van jullie vakantiehuis gebruik te mogen maken.
    Wij hebben genoten van de stilte,de mooie steden zoals Carcassonne,Narbonne en Béziers en Lagrasse.
    Ook enkele abdijen waren zeer de moeite waard.
    Ook het zwembad was een heerlijke verkoeling.
    Helaas zit het er weer op.
    Wie weet kruisen onze wegen elkaar nog eens.

    Wij hebben een heerlijke rustige vakantie gehad in het fantastische huisje met verwarmd zwembad van Gregg en Patricia.
    Diverse oude steden bezocht zoals Carcassonne,Narbonne,Béziers en Lagrasse.
    Ook enkele abdijen bezocht.
    Wij kunnen deze locatie aan iedereen aanbevelen.

The Languedoc is known as France's wine cellar. It has a huge potential and has become more and more popular amongst wine lovers. Also in culinary terms, this part of France is definitely worth exploring. Situated between mountains and sea, and influenced by the Catalan cuisine, you will find typical French cuisine, but with that little extra 'touch'!

Activities

The area is perfect for sporty people as there are many walking and (mountain)biking routes close to Le Petit Viala. Both the Mediterranean Sea and The Pyrenees are easily accesible.

The old city Carcassonne is the biggest fortress of Europe and consists of a reinforced core – the Cité – and the Chateau Comtal. The newer and lower part of Carcassonne has much to offer too; nice shopping streets and cozy squares with terraces. Carcassonne is a one-hour drive from Le Petit Viala.

You can sunbathe or relax on our domaine, but if you like you can also drive to one of the nearby Mediterranean beaches of Gruissan, Valras, Sète, Sérignan or Cap d’Agde.

One of the best wind- and kite surfing spots in Europe – Leucate – is around a 1-hour drive. Also the less famous but locally visited La Franqui is an amazing place to enjoy various wind and water sports.
