The house
Gite Sol is 80 m2, has a private entrance, 3 seperate bedrooms and can accommodate up to six people.
The spaceful open room contains a comfortable suite, a dining space with a farmers table and six chairs. This room is connected with an open modern kitchen, complete with a 5 pits gas stove oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, refrigerator. The walls are mostly of the original stone work.
There is an spaceful bathroom, with a walkin shower and a large wash basin. The three bedrooms have each two comfortable single beds with bedlinens.
You can relax and enjoy the peace, inside as well as outsite on the spaceful terrace with furniture, or on another spot on the property or on the large sunny terrace by the pool. If you would like to meet and dine with other quests, there is a possibility to make use of our "table d'hôtes" dinners, offered once or twice a week on request.
For all the gites there is a barbeque available

Our domain, 'Ateliers Les Landes', is an old wine farm on 1 hectare of land. We have transformed it into a lovely vacation spot with comfortable accommodations, a small campground, with modern bathrooms and a spacious swimming pool 6x14 m!
Currently the accommodations include a four person gite, a six person gîte, a five person gite and a bed and breakfast.
Les Landes is located in the wine region of Gaillac in the Tarn, Midi Pyrenees. It has a mild climate with lots of sun because of the influence of the Mediterranean Sea.
The landscape is hilly, sometimes even mountainous, but friendly. With many vineyards, sunflower fields, rolling fields of corn and rapeseed, and now and then a flock of sheep or goats.
This is the region of the bastides (fortified villages) where you'll find friendly white limestone villages where the Cathars lived.
Cordes sur Ciel, is a stone's throw away and is a lovely example of a medieval bastide.
Gaillac, 12 km away, is a lovely town with a large market every Friday.

Genieten voor jong en oud
Bedankt Pauline voor je gastvrijheid en gedenkwaardige 3 weken. De appartementen zijn schitterend. Het zwembad zalig!!! En groot. Schitterende uitzichten. Een binnenzaal met spelletjes, een grote tafel en een pingpong-tafel om te verpozen bij regen. Schone wc's en douches. Mijn zonen van resp. 19 en 18 heb je ook weten te amuseren. De zonsopgang, sterrenhemel en zonsondergang zijn nergens zo mooi. Net als het landschap daar. Ook in dat gebied heerlijke wijn en, mooie stadjes en veel cultuur. Ook dicht bij Toulouse. Je bent super gastvrij en altijd behulpzaam het de gasten naar hun zin te maken. We hebben een zeer fijne tijd bij je gehad. Dit is alweer het 5e jaar dat ik kom. Chère Pauline, L'Ateliers Les Landes est magnifique et parfait pour découvrir cette superbe région. Nous en avons profité pleinement pendant ces deux semaines qui sont passées trop vite.

Hallo Maarten en Pauline, Hartelijk dank voor de gastvrijheid die jullie geboden hebben bij de workshop landschap schilderen. We hebben ons heel welkom en thuis gevoeld in de mooie omgeving en de prachtige boerderij. Het eten was heerlijk en met veel aandacht en liefde gemaakt. We hebben genoten van de gezellige momenten aan tafel en fantastisch dat we buiten konden eten in september. De workshop landschap schilderen was geslaagd. De boerderij en zijn uitzichten boden veel gelegenheid om te schilderen. Ook de omliggende dorpjes en vergezichten waren een uitdaging. Zelfs bij regen was er wel wat te doen. Fijn ook , dat mijn man, die niet mee schilderde, ook welkom was. Het was ook prettig dat we onze eigen tent konden meenemen om te slapen. Kortom, het was een geweldige week. Nogmaals hartelijk dank.

Restaurants, food & wine

Gaillac, 12 km away, is a lovely town with a large market every Friday. There is also a wine museum beside the Abbey St. Michel, "musée de l'Abbaye de la Vine".
Albi, 24 km away, is a key tourist destination with the great Ste. Cecile Cathedral and the Musée Toulouse Lautrec, which holds the largest collection of the artists work in the world! This charming old city is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Montauban is the Ingres Museum, and in Castres the Goya Museum.
Toulouse, "the pink city", is situated on the Garonne river. Here you can enjoy shopping, walking along the river and eating at an outdoor cafe in the charming old town. There are many museums and the "cité de l'espace", the famous space center.

Activities
Les Landes is located amidst the vinyards just two kilometers outside the city center of Cahuzac sur Vère. Here you can taste the regional Gaillac wines at the large chateaus or at the many hospitable smaller wineries..homepage2
Culinary speaking, there is much to enjoy in Cahuzac sur Vère alone, with three restaurants, two with a Michelin star! In Cestayrols there is a very good and cosy restaurant www.restaurant.loucantoun.fr
Take time to enjoy the delicious local wines, cheeses, soft pink garlic from Lautrec, the chestnuts and wild asparagus, but also the regional specialties like confit de canard and cassoulet.
Sporting activities
the vicinity there are plenty of outdoor activities available: four golf courses, horseback riding, canoeing, tennis, hiking, biking and even paragliding. We can assist you in arranging these and other activities.

Prices include vat
A 30% deposit is required at time of booking. The remainder is to be paid at least two weeks prior to arrival.
Low season rates do not apply during school holidays.
For the gîtes, prices include the consumption of gas, electricity and water, use of bed linen and towels and tourist tax. A washing machine is available on site and for 5 euro including the washpouder, you can use it. We ask a deposit of € 150 in cash upon arrival, which will be returned on departure after a final inspection for damage / loss. We ask you leave the cottage behind as you found it.
Should you prefer, we can take care of the final cleaning, € 50 will be taken from the deposit as the cleaning fee, or 70 euro when residence with a dog.
