The house
Fully equipped house: ground floor kitchen with dining area, living room, toilet. Stairs lead to two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two single beds. Each bedroom has a bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower. There is a patio next to the kitchen under a beautiful lime tree, furnished with sun loungers, a small table and four chairs. A beautiful wooden table and six chairs in front of the house provide a relaxing spot for evening dining.

La Ribeyre is between two towns, Les Vans and Lablachère, where there are shops and several supermarkets. There is a tourist office in Les Vans and also in Joyeuse, 7 kilometres from the gîte.
The thermal spas of Vals les Bains and St Laurent les Bains are three quarters of an hour away and can be visited during the day.
Vallon Pont d'Arc and the Grotte Chauvet (museum of prehistoric wall paintings) are half an hour's drive away.
In the surrounding countryside there is a wide choice of picturesque villages to visit.

There's a choice of good restaurants nearby and the Ardèche offers a wealth of good local wines.
Activities
Close (3 km) to a river, Le Chassezac, which offers swimming and canoeing.
The house is situated next to a stream, which is an easy walk for children and the elderly. Les Gras is not far behind the house.
Two bicycles are available for holidaymakers.
The owner has some sheep in a pasture next to the path where the walk passes.
He also has a vegetable garden and can sell seasonal vegetables if required.

Further remarks
Formerly a sheepfold, the gîte has been completely renovated to a high standard by the owner, a retired bricklayer.
He has two dogs and a cat himself and accepts dogs and cats from holidaymakers.
