The house
Under the southern French sun is this villa, located in Les Vans.
In the far south of the Ardèche, à la porte de la Provence,
in the heart of the Cevennes which are your backyard and just a stone's throw
of "les gorges de l'Ardèche".
Numerous beautiful "Villages de caractère" with their enchanting little streets and cosy markets can be discovered in the vicinity.
The larger cultural cities with their monumental heritage, museums, shopping centres, parks and squares can also be visited within an hour's drive.
Enjoy 300 days of sun per year, the Mediterranean climate with the singing of "les cigalles", the smell of lavender... The ultimate peace and quiet.
At the end of a dead-end street, within walking distance of the always lively and bustling town of Les Vans....

The spacious open-plan living area measures 50m2.
Because it is equipped with large sliding windows and portes-fenêtres, you can enjoy the infinite views of the valley and the mountains.
The house is equipped with satellite TV so you do not have to miss your familiar programmes via TV Vlaanderen. A Hifi system is available and you can make use of free Wifi.
The fully equipped kitchen with washing-up island has a large vitroceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, Senseo coffee machine, kettle and dishwasher. Kitchen towels are included in the price and in the pantry you can use a washing machine, drying rack, steam iron and ironing board.
There are three spacious bedrooms, one of which has a four-poster bed of 180 cm and two rooms with double beds of 160 cm and 140 cm. All rooms have plenty of storage space, electric shutters and air conditioning to keep them cool.
Bed sheets are included in the price.
The bathroom is equipped with a large washbasin, cupboards, an electric towel drier, a hairdryer, a walk-in shower and toilet.
A second toilet is located in the hallway. Towels are available as an option.
In order to guarantee a hygienic property, pets are not allowed.

On Saturday mornings, the cosy town of Les Vans transforms its "place Ollier" into one of the largest home-delivery markets in the region.
Stroll deep into the centre médiéval at this weekly market with more than seven hundred stalls that will make you dizzy with colours and smells and will immediately make you feel that you are in la douce France.
During July and August there is also a nocturne market on Tuesday evenings.
Strolling through a market, looking for curiosities on a vide-greniers, playing petanque on the square or going crazy on one of the many musical evenings...
That is Les Vans.
French cuisine is world-famous, so here too you can enjoy "la cuisine française" with typical products from the Ardèche region.
From a tasty salad bar to a pizzeria, from exotic to a bistro or brasserie, or to high cuisine.
For every taste.
In the vicinity, there are numerous "villages de caractère" and they did not get this name for nothing.
These pearls, such as Naves, Banne, Balazuc, Vinézac, Thines, Labeaume, Antraigues,... are well worth a visit.

Les Vans is the most suitable starting point for a day of culture in one of the surrounding cities and enjoy the many shopping streets and terraces.
Nîmes, Avignon, Uzès, Orange, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier,... are all within an hour's drive.
Getting a breath of fresh air in the Ardèche mountains is only half an hour's drive away and gives you a completely different view of this beautiful region. You will imagine yourself in a surreal world between the whimsical rock formations of the "Bois de Païolive", you will be overwhelmed by the view, hundreds of kilometres to the limit from the "Serre de Barre", you will enjoy the unspoilt nature of the "Cévennes" in all its glory, or seek coolness and refreshment on the banks of the "Chassezac" which winds majestically through les Vans and then flows into the river Ardèche.

Activities
Those who like a bit of adventure will certainly find something to their liking here.
Numerous impressive caves can be visited and discovered in the region.
The "grotte Chauvet" and "Aven d'Orgnac" being the most famous ones.
Parachute jumping and paragliding are very popular here and are professionally supervised. You can also enjoy the Ardèche from the air with a plane or helicopter.
Canoeing is of course an essential family activity, to enjoy the beautiful canyons of the Chassezac or the Ardèche from the water.
Numerous fascinating hiking trails have been mapped out in this region. Straight through villages, over hills, along rivers. For the experienced walker or for the passer-by of the moment.
