The house
In the Ardèche, one of the eight departments of the Rhone-Alpes, on the territory of the rustic village Vernoux en Vivarais, lies a beautiful detached house, Chapois, built from old rocks "pièrre", the oldest part is 18th century, the complete renovation in old style was completed in 2009.
The house is situated on the south side of a mountain in a hilly, rural and wooded area, the house offers lots of privacy, has a large garden and a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains, there is also a large playground, The house is inside and out furnished for children, there are many toys, inside a play area with dolls, puzzles, games, blocks etc., Outside is a climbing set with slides, trampolines with fall protection, sandpit with toys, tumbleweeds, small bikes, nest swing, 1 meter diameter, rings, wagon, private pool and a cable car of 25 meters for the children. There is a stair gate at the top and bottom of the stairs. The house has a terrace on the east where you can have breakfast in the morning sun and a covered terrace on the west where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset in the mountains, here you can also use the barbecue.
In the house is a garage (in style of the house) where you can also use the covered terrace when it gets too hot and enjoy the beautiful views, peace and sunshine, the whole is on a plot of over 5000 m2.
The children can collect fresh eggs in the morning and feed the chickens, ducks, mini rabbits and mini donkeys.
In the surroundings you can make beautiful walks on clearly marked paths or ride a mountain bike through the woods, which start at 500 metres from the house.
Its tranquillity and comfort make this a unique property to celebrate your holidays with your family or friends.
The house is situated between the Ardechoise town Lamastre and Vernoux en Vivarais, where you can let yourself be pampered in the various restaurants.
In the area, depending on the season, there are many activities: "brocantes", fairs, wine festivals, music festivals, picturesque villages, old towns, museums, amusement park, wildlife park, boat trips, a steam train and various other activities.
In the summer, you can go white-water canoeing, horseback riding, tennis, mountain climbing, swimming, golfing, fishing and survival.
In winter there are skiing and cross-country skiing facilities at a distance of about 60 minutes.
The house is suitable for families with up to 6 persons or 4 adults.

Wauw wat een heerlijke plek is dit! Als alleenstaande moeder vond ik het best spannend een vakantie in buitenland te boeken maar toen ik dit huis zag, twijfelde ik geen moment. Dat bleek ook niet nodig! De kids (9, 7 en 5 jaar) hebben hele dagen en avonden buiten gespeeld. Op de toestellen en met al het speelgoed wat er te vinden was. Wat een mooie tuin met verschillende zitjes en een zwembad met prachtig uitzicht. In de buurt is er ook genoeg te doen, een echte aanrader!

Heerlijke vakantie gehad! Als alleenstaande moeder vond ik het best spannend een vakantie te boeken naar het buitenland maar toen ik dit huis vond twijfelde ik geen moment en wat een goede keus is dit geweest. Kids (9, 7 en 5 jaar) hebben uren speelplezier gehad buiten op alle toestellen en met al het aanwezige speelgoed. Mooie omgeving en leuke dingen gedaan. Lamastre bezocht, Vernoux bezocht, ook het meertje daar hebben we meerdere malen opgezocht en een dag naar Valence geweest.

Wat een G E W E L D I G vakantiehuis! Een T I E N met een gouden griffel!
Wat hebben wij genoten van het ontzettend mooi en in stijl gerenoveerde "Chapois".
Het huis voelde bij aankomst vanuit Nederland al echt aan als "thuiskomen".
Onze twee kinderen, Ilia (7) en Liam (3), keken hun ogen uit; zoveel speelgoed, zo'n groot speelterrein buiten met alle mogelijk speeltoestellen die kinderen van die leeftijd kunnen wensen, het zwembad oftewel "a pool with a view" zoals we het direct al benoemden.
De jongens (en papa en mama) hebben zich kostelijk en zonder moeite de hele dag vermaakt.Laten we ook de beestenboel niet vergeten; Kaley en Quincy, de twee schatten van honden die meermaals per dag even kwamen knuffelen, of de schattige mini ezeltjes die maar al te graag de restjes groenten en fruit wilden hebben. Maar ook de verse eitjes van de kippen die we dagelijks konden rapen.
Ook het huis zelf met haar heerlijke eetkeuken, de vele terrasjes rondom het huis waar we van de zon (of juist niet) konden genieten.
We hebben ontzettend genoten van de twee weken in "Chapois".

There is something for everyone, from swimming, canoeing and whitewater canoeing in the river, hiking through the beautiful nature, mountain biking through the woods and trout fishing in stream or pond, you can also go horseback riding, mountain climbing and golfing there are "flea markets", fairs, wine festivals, music festivals, picturesque villages, old towns, museums, amusement park, wildlife park, boat trips, a steam train and various other activities.

Low season: from 01 January to 24 April and from 25 September to 31 December (price on request).
Mid-season: 22-4 to 29-06 and 26-08 to 11-11.
High season: 29-06 to 26-08
All rates include electricity, gas and water. In low season there is wood for the stoves, which is included in the weekly price.
Bed linen and towel set can be booked for €15.00 pp/change.
Kitchen towel set can be reserved for €5.00 per change. When booking 4 or more sets, the kitchen set is free.
The deposit is €300.00 and must be paid in cash on arrival.
