Our flat is at walking/skiing distance from the Linga lift. From the living room you overlook the cross-country ski trail. The flat is bright, it has 2 patio doors to the balcony. Because the flat is under the roof, there is a rising beamed ceiling in all rooms.
So there is a mezzanine, where, for example, children can retreat with a book, or to play. There are plenty of sleeping places without anyone having to sleep in the living room.
The kitchen has a good oven/microwave, ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher. All from the brand Siemens
Included in the rent is a garage, which is located in the complex and can be accessed from inside. There is also space here to store skis.
The flat is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children.

Châtel is about 930km from Utrecht right below Lake Geneva.
At Monthey you leave the Swiss motorway, after which you reach Châtel in 35 minutes over the Morgins pass. We have never needed snow chains for this pass in the past 10 years.
Châtel is centrally located in the 650km ski area "Les Portes du Soleil", with well-known resorts such as Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets. But the Swiss ski resorts of Morgins and Champérey are also part of this ski area.
From the apartment, you can walk or ski to the telecabine, which gives access to the Portes du Soleil area. Near the telecabine, 150 metres away, are ski shops, ski rentals and also the ski school.
The flat is on the second floor. From the balcony you have an unobstructed view over the cross-country ski trail, and through the side window you look over the fast-flowing Dranse de l'Abondance.

You can buy a ski pass for the large area, Portes du Soleil which covers 650 km. Chatel's ski pass gives access to the Torgon, Morgins and La Chapelle d'Abondance areas (a total of 130 km of slopes). You can walk or ski to the slopes. The flat itself is adjacent to a hiking area.... Ski buses (free) run back and forth and also stop in front of our flat.
Restaurants, food & wine
The most Swiss ski village of France offers, of course, all the pleasures of French cuisine. Within walking distance, there is a restaurant "La Ripaille" where you can eat well for a reasonable price.
In the cosy village, there are several restaurants, with cosy terraces, or magnificent views of the valley and the mountains.
