Gîte Les Caribous

In the heart of the forest at 1250 meters altitude, « Gîte Les Caribous » is an exceptional location, a tranquil getaway far from any noise or neighbours. Here you will feel like a Canadian trapper or wilderness adventurer, but with the comforts of chalet luxury in this charmingly renovated historical farmhouse previously owned by the counts and countesses of Haute-Savoie. Complete reboot guaranteed ! The perfect place for a family getaway or sojourn with friends, to mark a special occasion, to re-connect with nature, and to explore our beautiful mountains. There are several hike or snow-shoe options starting directly from the property, and plenty of fun and games planned into the property itself :-)

Gîte Les Caribous is more than 380m2 of private space, sleeping up to 15 people, set up as follows:
Ground floor:
-large dining room with fireplace, bar and sitting space
-fully equipped kitchen: refrigerator, freezer, oven, induction stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, Italian espresso machine, kettle, toaster, raclette, fondue gear, and all the tools you'll need, including good chef's knives.
-powder room

1st floor:
-Library, with several areas to read and relax, sofas etc...
-Suite 1: Queen sized bed + mezzanine with 2 single beds; private en-suite bathroom and separate toilet
-Suite 2: Double sized bed + mezzanine with 1 single bed; private en-suite bathroom and separate toilet
-Suite 3: Queen sized bed + large mezzanine with 2 single beds and a Queen; private en-suite bathroom and separate toilet; sitting area; balcony
-Mezzanine 4: 2 single beds in a spacious mezzanine open over the library
-Large game room (billards table, darts, board games, sound system, sofas, bean bags, kid's play space etc...) which can also be transformed into a yoga room for those interested in the perfect indoor space for wellness practices.

Outdoors:
- Jacuzzi with a beautiful view on the mountains
- Large coal BBQ
- Fire pit for your starry nights by the fire
- terrasse with large table and seating
- lounge chairs, bean bags, garden games ...
- garden and surrounding nature, cascade and pond ...

Located at the end of a path accessible only with a 4x4 for the last 500m stretch, you'll be able to make it up to the gîte on foot in 10-15 min, while we bring your luggage up with our 4x4 or tracked quad depending on the season. (We can of course bring people up to the gîte if someone prefers not to walk).

Located 30-40 minutes from Annecy, Geneva, le Grand-Bornand... 15 minutes only from La-Roche-sur-Foron, a vibrant little town and all your commodities.

Don't hesitate to contact us for any special request, including additional services we or our partners can provide (snowshoe rental, apero or breakfast baskets, catering, chef's services, beer tap and keg, local wine and cheese tasting ...). We'll do our best to accommodate your requests and ensure you have a wonderful stay in our little piece of paradise.
