The house
Moulin de Laval has a very attractive living room with a beautiful beamed ceiling. All rooms are tastefully and colorfully decorated. Three of the four bedrooms and the kitchen have a view of the stream. Dogs are welcome.

Moulin de Laval is completely private in its own valley with a fast-flowing brook and a huge garden at the front and rear in the gently rolling green landscape of the Auvergne. The mill is located 200 m from the main road, accessible via a good path. A village with the most important facilities is only two minutes away.

We zijn hier een 13 jaar geleden geweest en hadden een geweldige tijd daar ik volg de pagina nog steeds omdat we hier graag een x terug willen gaan helaas nog steeds niks van gekomen. Ondertussen is de molen wel veel veranderd maar wel in het voordeel. Als je van natuur houdt zeker een aanrader! En ook de boeken van Peter zijn zeer interessant ❤️ De honden hadden er ook een geweldige tijd. Helaas kan ik zo snel geen foto vinden, maar was een zeer geslaagde vakantie. Het was volgens mij in 2009 de datum zou ik moeten opzoeken
Restaurants, food & wine
There are numerous restaurants in the area, from modest to chique. A list of recommendations is available in the mill. The cheeses from the region are praised: Cantal, Bleu d'Auvergne, Gaperon, St Nectaire, Montagne. The wines from the region are reasonable.
Activities
Walking (also along the brook), Visit the waterfall, Swimming in numerous lakes, Volcanoes of Puy de Dome, Cycling (a bit hilly) or better: just stay at the mill, because there you will find everything and more. Clermont Ferrand is an hour's drive and has an attractive city center with a lava stone cathedral, good restaurants and nice shops. Visit Château de Chazeron, take a small train up to the Puy de Dome, or take a cable car up the Puy de Sancy, go canoeing on the Sioul, ride a bicycle cart up the Viaduc de Fades, once the highest railway bridge in Europe ( and now no longer in use).

Further remarks
The wifi in the mill is excellent, there is a television (80 cm) with French channels, 400 DVDs of good taste and a modest stereo system.
