The house
A spacious 4* gite sleeping 8-10 people on the edge of the Livradois Forez national park. Perfect for family or friends to get together. Lovely views surronded by wonderful countryside in a quiet hamlet just a short walk from the village of Usson.
There's a huge sitting/dining room, 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 recently renovated bathrooms (bath and shower), 2 WCs, a conservatory overlooking the fields, and recently renovated, fully fitted kitchen.
Outside are two terraces, a BBQ and a garden (unfenced).
Wifi (countryside speed - 3Mbs!), TV, bluetooth Speakers, Books, games and tourist information.
Heating included in the price during winter.
There are 9 hectares of private land to explore. The views from the top of the hill in the morning and evening are spectacular, feel free to climb up there and have a look. It’s well worth it. We have badgers, bats and all sorts of birds and wildlife on the property, don’t hesitate to ask when and where you might see them. We are a registered wild bird haven with the LPO (the French equivalent of the RSPB)
Several walking trails can be accessed directly from the gîte.
We also have pet goats and chickens. If you would like to help me feed them or collect the eggs you are very welcome.

The house in situated in a private hamlet, which is part of the village of Usson, one of France's most beautiful villages.
In the local area there are many chateaux and hill top villages to visit, lots of local cheeses and wine to taste and also theme parks such as Vulcania and the wildlife park in Ardes sur Crouze.
If you like walking/hiking, cycling, fishing, paragliding, horse riding, climbing, canoeing, swimming and even axe throwing there are plenty of opportunities nearby. there public footpath access directly from the house.
The nearest village for shops is Sauxillanges (4 km). You can find a supermarket, 3 bakeries, a butcher, Post Office, hairdresser, newsagents, restaurant, a café, a bar and an antiques shop
There are excellent restaurants, bigger supermarkets and shops with a wide range of products in Issoire about 15 minutes’ drive away.
The A75 motorway exit is 8km from the house.
