The house
From the spacious entrance hall, to the right lies the kitchen, with sitting/dining room. From here you have beautiful views over forest and meadow. The large glass door gives access to the meadow, where it is lovely to have breakfast at the picnic table, or evening bbq n.
The living room has a fireplace (wood for free), TV/DVD player and CD player.
A spacious three-seater sofa, and three easy chairs.
The kitchen area has a gas cooker, and fridge-freezer and a small dishwasher.
There is a microwave, coffee machine, kettle, etc.
To the left of the hall, is the laundry room with washing machine, dryer
Also on the left is the double bathroom: Two toilets, two showers, two sinks.
The upper floor has two spacious bedrooms, one with double bed, and
the other larger room has five single beds
A cot and high chair are available on request.
Toys and games are available for ages 0 to 90 years.
The front garden is nice and private, facing south, but also shaded by the fig tree, n has a garden table with chairs and parasol.

The gite La Rosa, is very private, in the estate of 96 Hectares of forest and field, heather, rocks, just behind the coach house Maison du Jardin. On the estate are many hiking trails, which also give access to the immediate surroundings around the estate, such as the prehistoric megaliths in Saint Just.
In the grounds, is a small lake, there are rocks to climb, wild plants to admire. The garden and vegetable garden. The fenced pool is heated from April to September and is in the walled garden, by the pool there is also a shower and w.c, a bbq and fridge. There are deer and boar, lots of butterflies, lizards, birds, bats and owls.
In the autumn, you can look for mushrooms, roast chestnuts, go for lovely walks, in winter sometimes enjoy the snow and always the fireplace.

There are several good restaurants in the area, such as Moulin de Via, and Edouard Set, Le Sabot Gourmand, Le mauvais Grraines, La Grée les Landes, also creperies of course, Breton cuisine as well as French cuisine. We keep a list of recommendations in the gite's folder.
Activities
In our grounds are a swimming pool, table tennis table and swings. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling, walking or visiting historic villages such as La Gacilly, famous for Yves Rocher and its many artisan shops. The museum village of Rocheford en Terre, La Roche Bernard, Vannes, and of course the Breton coast, with its beaches, many beautiful villages, including the luxurious seaside resort of La Baule. There are flea markets for antique lovers, boats and canoes for rent for water lovers, luxury shops, and museums in the capital Rennes, or Nantes.
Both cities have airports; from Nantes, KLM flies to Schiphol Airport.

Our gite La Rosa can be rented in combination with the château's 'Rez de Jardin', a spacious flat with 12 sleeping places that can accommodate 16 people.

Heerlijke week in Gite la Rosa gehad, met onze 3 kinderen en onze hond. Het is een ruim huis, met een heerlijke tuin die je kunt afsluiten (handig voor de hond). Een prachtig terrein er omheen waar we uren met de hond konden wandelen en waar we regelmatig herten zagen. Het kasteel bevat bovendien een kleine bioscoop. Het zwembad was begin mei helaas nog niet open, maar de kinderen konden lekker voetballen e.d. op het grote grasveld voor de gite. Kortom, heerlijke week gehad!

Wij hebben niet in de gite verbleven, maar in een kamer in het souterrain van het chateau zelf. De perfecte vakantie! Rust, rust, rust in een prachtige omgeving.
