The Barn at Vijon offers spacious accommodation with panoramic views of beautiful rural countryside. Inside, the property retains its exposed beams and character stone walls whilst outside, the secluded private garden presents an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of this rural idyll. To offer guests maximum choice, flexibility and privacy, the accommodation (located on the first floor) offers 2 bedrooms (Double and Twin). Private facilities include a Shower room with WC, separate downstairs WC, large open-plan lounge/dining area and well-equipped kitchen. Guests love the south-facing balcony with breath-taking views, while having breakfast or an aperitif and they can also take advantage of the great bird-watching and stargazing opportunities (great nocturnal views without light pollution) binoculars and telescope provided!
On arrival guests will find essential 'store cupboard' provisions to get their self-catering holiday started - fresh bread, eggs, milk, butter, marmalade, jam, tea, coffee and sugar. Fresh produce from the garden is available in season. All towels and linen are provided as well as toilet paper, soap, soap powder etc. The Barn at Vijon offers free private car parking, secure storeroom for bikes, a barbecue, and garden furniture. Free WIFI, free-to-air UK and French TV, an extensive DVD library, books, games and puzzles in fact - everything required for a relaxing holiday. The Barn at Vijon is not suitable for those that may have difficulty climbing stairs, it is a non-smoking property and sorry, but we do not accept pets.

The Barn at Vijon is located in the quiet village of Vijon located between the towns of Boussac (11km to the south) in the Creuse and Sainte Severe Sur Indre (11km to the north in the Centre Val De Loire). The immediate area is the Berry Province. Nearest supermarkets are located in Boussac or in La Chatre. Peaceful, quiet, private location in which to unwind and relax.

Security deposit €200 payable on arrival in cash - refunded by bank transfer within 7 days of departure following a satisfactory inspection and thorough clean.

Great thank you to Anne & John for a wonderful stay at The Barn in Vijon. Exactly as advertised and we can only echo the other reviews: spacious, well equipped and very homely lodging set in typical french serene and quiet rural environment offering beautiful views. Especially sunrise and night skies were majestic. The stocked fridge (with homemade jam, fresh raspberries, wine, fresh bread and croissants amongst others) and already burning fireplace on arrival made for a very warm welcome indeed. We were very lucky with the weather but are convinced that even with poor weather we would have completely relaxed as well.

The Barn is extremely comfy and simply stunning. Beautiful location - would definitely recommend. What a relaxed holiday we have had, helped of course by the weather.
