La Maison Blanche (Brittany)

We had a wonderfull time in Brittany. The house was perfect. Very beautiful bedrooms and also the several bathrooms were fantastic. Also a big thanks for the towels, washcloths and bathrobes. Very nice! Cooking in the spacious kitchen was very pleasant. The many refrigerators were also very useful. Maybe just one small comment: we missed a regular coffee maker and some large saucepans.

The outdoor space and large garden were also very relaxing. To be honest, we thought it was a shame that the garden and driveway was so poorly maintained. The photos on the Facebook page of the previous owners and those on the current (!) page of gites.com, show a huge difference with the current condition. The photos online do not provide a realistic representation of the outdoor space. That is a pitty, especially when you pay a decent rent. The situation at the pool was similar. Fantastic place, but not well maintained. When we arrived, we started to clean the pool because it was quite dirty. With some more attention to the maintenance of the garden and swimming pool, the house would radiate even more magic.

But... this didn't really affect our trip. We had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful region!

Heerlijk huis om met een grote groep te zijn. Alle slaapkamers hebben eigen badkamer en maakt dit geschikt voor families of grote groepen. Het huis is erg comfortabel, ook qua klimaat. En dat heb ik bij andere huizen in deze periode in Frankrijk wel eens anders meegemaakt.
Wat heel fijn en bijzonder is, is de grote keuken met eiland daarin, zodat culinaire liefhebbers met meerdere personen tegelijk aan de gang kunnen. En zich kunnen uitleven.
Daarnaast is de service die Celine als huishoudhulp biedt in de schoonmaak en was, fantastisch. Alles in de prijs inbegrepen.
Verder de rust van de omgeving is heerlijk.
Leuk is de wekelijkse markt op woensdag in Vannes, wat overigens een mooie plaats is om te shoppen. Of de grote supermarkten in Pontivy.
Kortom een aanrader. En de familie riep al, wanneer gaan we weer? Zegt genoeg.
