The house
My cottage is distinguished by its detached location on a large private site with its own driveway of 200m. There are no neighbors or owners in the area, you are completely alone. The grounds have fruit and walnut trees and are a haven for hares, deer and birds. The site is large and there are also meadows around the site, so you are assured of complete peace. From the driveway you can immediately enjoy the beautiful surroundings. By car you can go to the beach or enjoy the beautiful cities nearby such as Mont Saint-Michel or the D-day beaches.
The cottage is very suitable for people who love simplicity, nature and tranquility. There is a living room with kitchen with stove and oven and fridge with freezer, washing machine, a wood stove and heating. On the 1st floor is a large bedroom with a double bed. On the ground floor is a small bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with toilet and bath. A folding bed can be placed in the living room. There is no wifi, but there is 4G internet.
Bed linen and towels are not provided, but gas, wood, water and electricity are included in the price.
In short: my house is simple but charming and is situated in a beautiful and secluded location where you have complete tranquility. The immediate surroundings are very beautiful and there are many beautiful things to see in the area, such as the beaches and the French castles and cities.

The cottage is located on a large private property. Directly from the driveway you can enjoy walking and cycling: the area is very beautiful. There is also a forest a 10-minute walk away. By car you can go to the beautiful Avranches with its castle, cathedral and relics of Saint Mont Michel. Of course, this monastery on the island is a top global attraction. You can also take a nice walk with a guide in the bay of Mont Saint Michel. To sunbathe, head to the sandy beaches of Jullouville or Granville. The culture in the region is really very beautiful: the Chateau de Caen, with the Omaha D-Day beaches and 2nd World War museums in Caen and Bayeux. In Bayeux you can also see the world famous tapestry of the battle of Hastings with William the Conqueror. His birth castle is in Falaise. Als je tot rust wilt komen, dan moet je dit huisje huren.
Wat een prachtige plek en een heerlijk huis. Plek geeft veel privacy maar je hebt toch niet het gevoel dat je 'helemaal alleen op de wereld bent'. Tussen de bomen door zie je in de verte andere huizen liggen. Gezellige buren (koeien) die 's ochtends nieuwsgierig waren wat er nu weer ging gebeuren. Het was deze week vrij fris dus we hebben niet zoveel buiten kunnen zitten, maar met mooi weer zal dat heerlijk zijn. Plek zat.
Huisje is mooi en zeer compleet (incl. broodrooster, oven en wasmachine). Bedden zijn goed, matrassen ietwat zacht (maar dat is persoonlijk). Badkamer prettig; supermooi bad en de ramen maken het helemaal af. Je hebt bijna het idee dat je buiten staat te douchen.
In de omgeving is er voldoende te doen: strand, Mont St. Michel (was wel erg druk). Nabij het huisje zijn 2 mtb-routes. Maar het huisje is ook een prima uitvalsbasis om met de racefiets over de glooiende wegen te rijden.
En een aanrader is het restaurant le Moulin de Jean, op 6 km afstand van het huisje. Wel even reserveren (vooral in het weekend).
Kortom: wij zijn uitgerust weer naar Nederland vertrokken en komen hier vast nog een keer.hilde wyninckx from hoboken antwerpen,

de omgeving was voor ons perfect, inderdaad veel privacy. We wisten ook dat het huisje omschreven stond als eenvoudig, dat klopt. Echter, we zijn uiteindelijk met 2 personen gegaan, dat was ook prima want met 5 personen was het echt wel te krap geweest en was er veel te weinig huishoudmateriaal. De zetel in de living is echt niet aangewezen om in te slapen! Bij aankomst hebben we ons voorzien van wijnglazen in de plaatselijke carrefour, we kochten ook napjes ant eten op een plastic tafel is niet fijn. Zulke zaken zouden toch aanwezig mogen zijn! Ook het aantal lepels en messen is bijzonder krap. Ik heb de tuin van de eigenaar onderhouden en van water voorzien maar vaak trapte ik in de te talrijk aanwezige brandnetels in de tuin. Opnieuw, met kinderen kan dit best hinderlijk zijn! kortom, wij 2 volwassenen vonden het best ok maar ik ben blij dat de kleinkinderen uiteindelijk niet zijn kunnen komen ... Mgv Hilde Wyninckx
