Heerlijk huis aan een rustige weg die je alleen maar over hoeft te steken om op het strand te komen. Je kunt hier eindeloos wandelen, Cotentin is zeer de moeite waard. We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in Tamaris en komen zeker terug!

Even een berichtje.
Wij hebben een geweldige 2 weken gehad in Surtainville. het huis was super fijn en voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad. Het huis was compleet, schoon, gezellig en leuk ingericht. De tuin is mooi en groot en heeft meerdere zit mogelijkheden waar je lekker in de zon kan zitten of juist niet. Het huis staat aan een rustige weg direct aan het strand waar het ook rustig was. Je kan er heerlijk wandelen. Op 5 minuten lopen zit restaurant L'Amarre met bar en terras. Wij hebben er lekker gegeten.
Restaurants, food & wine
In the vicinity are several good restaurants, where one can eat deliciously. Among other things, there is an eating house within walking distance by the lake where you can also get the well-known products that our children ask for. Normandy -and especially Manche- is characterised by its own cuisine, in which ingredients found in the region itself are the main ingredient. Lots of freshly caught fish and excellent meat and dairy products from cattle that roam freely in the dunes (from 1 October to 1 May).
Contrary to the southern part of France, butter and creme fraiche are widely used in Normandy's cuisine. The local cheeses are delicious (Trappe de Briqcebec, Camembert (Lanquetot), Vieux Pané, and many others).
Also to be enjoyed are the Norman drinks: cider, pommeau and Calvados. Visit a Calavados farmer and be amazed by the taste of this drink, which is equal to a good cognac.
Activities
The beach and the sea lend themselves to all kinds of activities: from walking to surfing.
The walker can follow parts of the GR 223 that starts in Sutrainville http://nl.lahague-tourisme.com/ontdekken/het-kustpad.
Cyclists will enjoy themselves: the hinterland is comparable to South Limburg, so for a training session in early spring it is a very suitable location.
Dog lovers can enjoy the beach with their four-legged friend.
Especially in the early and late season, the sea is very suitable for surfing, because from October to May the waves are at their highest.
On a clear day, you can see the nearby Channel Islands of Jersey and Sark.
The hinterland is very hilly and lends itself to beautiful excursions. Many castles and manor houses can be visited in the vicinity. A trip along the coast is worthwhile. To the north you will come along the rough point Le Nez de Jobourg, to the south the landscape is less rough and a day trip to Mont St. Michel can be undertaken - certainly in the pre-and post-season, when it is quieter.
A visit to the Invasion beaches is certainly not to be missed.
The Tamaris is situated at 30 metres from the beach. The beach is guarded in July and August,

Further remarks
The house is fully double glazed from November 2012, is heated by electric stoves and a wood stove (provide your own wood, including for sale at Point Vert in Barneville) and is therefore throughout the year, so even in low season to live.
There is wifi internet available and free landline calls, please note, only to fixed numbers, even abroad unlimited. .calls to mobile numbers will be charged.
The house is therefore for rent throughout the year. (See under "Show availability" whether the house is still available).
All prices include water, but exclude electricity (€ 0.25 per Kwh) and € 50,,00 cleaning costs. A departmental tourist tax of € 0.99 per person per day must also be paid. A deposit of € 75,00 per week (or part thereof) is required on arrival, with a maximum of € 150,00.
Pets (max. two): € 12.00 per week per pet.
Rental prices apply to up to 5 persons. A supplement of € 37.50 per week applies for the sixth person, regardless of the season.
There is NO administration or reservation fee.
