La Grange du Moulin family friendly holiday gites in the Charente Maritime region of Sw France are very centrally located for all the main towns, places of interest and of course the beaches. La Rochelle, Royan and Rochefort on the coast and Poitiers, Angouleme and Niort inland are all just an easy one hours drive away at most. Saintes and Cognac are closer still and have plenty to keep both adults, children and toddlers occupied and entertained. Even Bordeaux with its world famous vineyards and wineries are just a 1hr30 drive away. The Coast with hundreds of miles of coastline is just an easy 1hrs drive but we also have a fabulous inland beach and swimming lake just 30 mins away.
Our family holiday cottages or gites as they are known in France, welcome families with babies, toddlers and young children . We offer a peaceful and safe environment in which to enjoy your self catering family holiday with toddlers and young kids near the historic town of St Jean d'Angely in France. With other toddlers and young children for yours to play with in the enclosed garden filled with toys you'll actually have time to relax and even read a book ! Relax in the shade of the apple tree with a chilled glass of wine chatting to other like minded parents whilst your children make new friends. At La Grange du Moulin we have six family gites. Four sleep 6 people in three bedrooms each, one gite sleeps 4 in two bedrooms and one cottage (Peche) sleeps 8 in four bedrooms; so we have something for everyone. This small cluster of holiday cottages creates a lovely friendly environment in which to enjoy your self catering family holiday with toddlers and kids in France.
You will quickly get to know your neighbours and your children will instantly make new friends whilst exploring the safely enclosed play garden. We welcome families with young children, generally under 8 yrs in peak season and babies & toddlers at other times. That means that there will be other like minded families with children, toddlers and babies all wanting an enjoyable relaxing stay where there are other children for theirs to play with and they are not frowned upon when a baby cries. If your children and toddlers are entertained then it usually means you'll be able to relax that bit more, so we offer lots of activities and the garden and cottages are filled with toys.
At La Grange du Moulin child friendly gites we have two pools and a hot tub. Both the pool and hot tub areas are enclosed and secured by child safety latches. The main pool is also alarmed. The swimming pool is heated and surrounded by a sunbathing terrace. Also located in the pool area is the heated toddler pool surrounded by a wooden sunbathing deck. The toddler pool is shaded at all times by a 'sail'. The hot tub is located in a separate secure area adjacent to the pool area. Lit at night so parents can enjoy a relaxing soak when the children are asleep !
