The house
Beautiful, romantic, characteristic Cottage Charente: in the lovely garden full of flowers and (fruit) trees, within walking distance of the refreshing swimming pool and with a beautiful view over the valley, from its own private terrace. It is wonderful holidaying at Domaine Charente!
The Cottage is fully and attractively furnished and suitable for 3 people and a baby/toddler. Optionally, the composition can also be: 2 parents in the large double room, 2 small children together in the double bed in the (2nd smaller) double room, and a baby. Please consult us first at ....
In high season in 2024: only per week, and with arrival/departure day on Sunday.
The cottage consists of 2 floors. The Cottage has a cosy living room with antique fireplace, an open kitchen and French doors to the private terrace, with dining table and chairs. The spacious bathroom is also downstairs. Going up the stairs, you enter the first spacious double bedroom, with a lovely bed, a chest of drawers and a sitting area. Here the authentic beams are a bit low. Next to the double bed is a baby room with a cot and washbasin. It is a cosy little room. Changing pad, baby bath and high chair are available.
Continuing on from this bedroom, you come to the second, smaller double bedroom with a double bed (140x200) and a lockable door.
You have lovely views of the spacious, flowering garden and the mountains. Hammock, seats, terrace with bench, everything is available in various places in our garden. But lounging by the pool is of course also possible. We regularly have drinks with our guests, or organise a joint barbecue or campfire evening.

The swimming pool is open daily from 10:30 - 19:30 (due to cleaning)
A washing machine is available on site, next to the cottage.
At Domaine Charente, with flowers and candles everywhere, benches and French tableware, you can feel completely free and in the midst of nature's splendour. You pick apples, pears and plums from the tree yourself. A cake with fruit from your own garden is baked in your own oven. WIFI, bed & bath linen, a parking space nearby is included.

Our domain is surrounded by the beautiful lakes of the Charente± Lacs des Hautes Charentes. The nearest beautiful lake, with beach and catering facilities, picnic tables and fishing spots, is a 10-minute drive from Domaine Charente: in Roumazieres, where all shopping can also be done.
Mazieres is located between the cities of Angouleme and Limoges, but Cognac (about 30 minutes) and Bordeaux are also easily accessible (about 1.5 hours)
We have a fun album full of activities, for young and old! We make a nice weekly agenda for our guests, with entertainment tips, night markets, music festivals, nice restaurants and walking & cycling trips in the surroundings of our domain. On our domain there is always room for cosy coffee & drinks moments at the communal table in the garden. A joint barbecue, campfire, ping-pong tournaments, or own initiatives take place weekly.

We hebben hier een week mogen verblijven wat absoluut geen straf was!
Alle ingrediënten waren aanwezig! Gastheer en gastvrouw (Rob en Lein) waren erg lief en zorgzaam! Borrelen, spelletjes, bbq, discozwemmen voor de kids….Oja , bingo niet te vergeten!
We hebben genoten, echt een aanrader!

Hier twee weken mogen vertoeven in de zomervakantie. Het uitzicht fantastisch, de gezelligheid met elkaar geweldig, alles mag en alles kan, alles is bespreekbaar. Zeer gastvrij, alles is aanwezig!
Wij hebben genoten van jullie de andere gasten en van de prachtige omgeving. !lieven en tine from Boezinge,
we hebben een superleuke week beleefd in deze gite! Enorm gastvrij! de gite zelf is heel ruim en ideaal ook voor onze 3 kinderen. het leuke is dat alles aanwezig is in de keuken en zelfs speelgoed voor de kids. ideale uitvalsbasis om uitstappen te doen in heel de streek! een aanrader!
