Our cosy gîte 🏡 is located in a quiet French hamlet.
Enjoy space, nature 🌿 and the French countryside.
The gite consists of a spacious and cosy living room with a very fully equipped open kitchen. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee machine (dolce gusto) kettle, various small kitchen appliances and a washing machine.
There is a spacious dining table , 2 comfortable sofas and lovely wood stove 🔥 ( April '25) which heats the entire gite (wood is free)
Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms 🛏️ and a comfortable and modern bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, sink, toilet and bathtub.
All upstairs rooms are equipped with mosquito nets 🪟🦟.
Many beautiful hiking and cycling routes 🚶♂️🚴♀️ in the area.

Our gîte is located in the heart of the Creuse, a department known for its peace, space and unspoilt nature. Here you won't find mass tourism, but winding roads, picturesque villages and vast landscapes where you can hike or cycle endlessly.
Its central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the region. Within a short distance you will find historic towns, castles and markets full of local produce. For those looking for culture: the Creuse has been a source of inspiration for artists for centuries, which is reflected in the many studios and museums.
Yet it is never far away to something bigger: cities such as Limoges, Clermont-Ferrand and even the vineyards of the Loire are within reach. And after a day full of impressions, you return to the peace and quiet of our gîte, surrounded by nature.

In the surrounding villages you will find atmospheric restaurants and bistros where local dishes are prepared with love. Think stews with Limousin beef, dishes with chestnuts and mushrooms, or a piece of delicious goat's cheese from the farm around the corner.
For wine lovers, the Creuse is a surprisingly good base. You are a short distance from well-known wine regions such as the Loire and Berry, where fresh Sauvignon Blanc and distinctive Pinot Noir are produced. The wines of Limousin and Auvergne are also worth discovering - often small-scale, authentic and still a well-kept secret.

Heating of the gîte
The wood for the wood-burning stove is included in the price.
From October to March, you can use the electric stoves. These keep the gîte from cooling down too much, but are not powerful enough to heat the whole house. For cosy warmth, the wood-burning stove is available.
During this period, a daily consumption of 15 kWh of electricity is included. If more is consumed, we charge €0.24 per extra kWh. (On arrival and departure, we will read the meter together so that everything remains clear and transparent).
Outside this period, the electric heaters are not in use and you only heat the gîte with the wood stove, if necessary. So you are always assured of a comfortable stay, in any season.
