Domaine d'Onze, a holiday home with swimming pool, still enjoy space, quiet and clean air in this area !
The holiday home, also just suitable for permanent living, is located on a dead-end road near Le Rivaud, a hamlet with 10 house numbers, of which only 3 are permanently inhabited in the municipality of Sannat and has unobstructed views of the scenic landscape. Sannat is in the Creuse department, region Limousin, now Nouvelle Aquitaine.

In the morning you can walk in 20 minutes to the little shop opposite the post office in Sannat for a delicious fresh baguette; but .... order in advance !
In Evaux en Chambon at 10km, you can buy the newspaper "La Montagne" with the extensive weather forecast, current festivities, brocantes and vide-greniers in the Creuse and Limousin.

La maison stands in an enclosed garden of over 1500 m2 with a barbeque area by the shed, fire bowl, torches, plenty of garden furniture, beer table with benches, hammock and not forgetting the garden shower.
The planned barbecue always goes ahead because there is also a wood-burning stove/bbq realised on the veranda....
And there is outdoor play equipment with slide, swings, rope ladder and climbing frame.
We swim in a 5-metre diameter swimming pool with a saltwater-chlorine system.

There is a fixed telephone connection, as mobile coverage leaves something to be desired.
Unlimited free calls to landlines in Europe.
Via the internet, free whatsapp calls can also be made to mobile numbers.
The wifi extends into the garden.
Smoking in the house is not allowed, the veranda is a more suitable place for that.

The entrance to the house is on the 1st floor, on the veranda.
On the ground floor are the oil central heating boiler, a generator for when the power fails, the washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Since the presence of the generator, the power has not failed....

The 1st floor has a modern fully equipped kitchen with extractor hood, gas hob, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, convection oven and microwave.
Adjacent is the dining/living room with a cosy wood-burning stove and double doors to the veranda.
Then the lounge with sofa, television with French channels, (computer connection with HDMI cable), radio, CD player, cassette deck and DVD player. A Bluetooth adapter allows everyone to listen to their music through good speakers.
The toilet is in the hall on this same floor.

On the 2nd floor is the bathroom with a double sink and a bath with shower.
Here you will also find the 3 bedrooms: with recent good mattresses:
the 1st bedroom with a 200x160 double bed;
the 2nd bedroom with 1 bunk bed (2 beds of 200x90 so !).
and the 3rd bedroom has a double bed of 200x140.
There is also a "NL" cot with mattress 120x 60 available without bed linen.
Also provided is a folding playpen.
All bedrooms have wardrobes and, for warm nights, a fan.

For safety, there are fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and stair gates.

In our experience, a one-week visit from the Netherlands can be a bit short;
Two Saturdays travelling, acclimatising on Sunday, getting ready for the return trip on Friday....
That leaves only four days of real holiday !
To make a longer holiday more attractive we have
made connecting weeks in high season more financially attractive.
