Situated in one of the seven neighbouring villages in Perigord Noir that forms the “Golden Triangle” – Castelnaud-La-Chapelle, just south of Sarlat-la-Caneda. In this exceptionally beautiful area known as the Land of 1,001 Castles, you are undoubtedly spoiled for choice for things to see and do.
Close to the Dordogne River and the smaller Ceou, tucked away in a small hamlet setting just between the famous Chateau de Castelnaud and Chateau de Lacoste. La Trilogie D’or is a great base for exploring the best of the Dordogne: castles, vineyards, markets, prehistoric caves, truffles, stargazing, canoeing, kayaking, cycling, hot-air ballooning, horseback riding, and so much more. All the must-see attractions listed above are between 1–16 km away from us.

Reviews
Keith Goody from Hullbridge,
Just returned from visiting the Dordogne for the first time, and had an exceptional 5 day break staying at the well positioned La Trilogie D'or. Fantastic property and location with an amazing outside space and one of the best private swimming pools I have ever experienced. Fantastic knowledgeable hosts who where able to direct us to the best restaurants and historic venues to visit close by. Would highly recommend and will certainly be revisiting
Restaurants, food & wine
You will be spoiled for choice for places to eat, with many restaurants to choose from, both, in the surrounding villages and in the main town of Sarlat. The Dordogne delights the senses with its culinary treasures, including the renowned black truffles, which can be found in winter and summer. The region is also known for its duck dishes, as well as walnuts, which grow in abundance here. In the summer, the markets are full of strawberries (considered some of the best in France) and in the autumn there are plenty of cep mushrooms and other delicacies.
Activities
La Trilogie D'or is located in the Golden Triangle of Dordogne with many activities on the doorstep: kayaking, canoeing on the Dordogne River, many famous cycling routes nearby, hot air ballooning, prehistoric cave sites, many beautiful chateaus and amazing gastronomy, truffle and wine testings.
