Restaurants, food & wine
n the village is the chai (building where the wine is made and stored) of Vin de Domme, the wine of this region, where one can taste wine without obligation. Near the chai is a viewing tower from which, on a clear day, one can see as far as Auvergne.
Opposite is a brasserie among the vineyards.
But there are of course wine chateaux to the south along the Lot.(vin de Cahors)
.
If you like good food, you can indulge (and loosen your belly) in one of the many restaurants serving regional dishes or more refined French cuisine.
Regional products include duck pate and foie gras, saffron and walnuts (walnut cake), truffles, cepes (porcini mushrooms) strawberries and fresh goat cheeses.
Sarlat's Saturday market is well known to many tourists as is the Sunday market in Cazals and St Cyprien.
