The house
This spacious house is very suitable for several families and also offers plenty of privacy due to the number of bathrooms. The house and the surrounding partly covered terraces offer stunning views over the valley and the castle. The house has a stylish living room with a large fireplace. There are several colour TVs and DVD players. The dining room has a cosy large table for 10 people. High chairs can be added upon request.
The kitchen includes a dishwasher, cooker, oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, large American fridge/freezer, full set of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc. Towels and tea towels etc. are provided.
On the same floor there is a toilet, two double bedrooms with private bathroom with shower and toilet and a third bedroom with two beds and a bunk bed, and private sink and shower.
Upstairs in the tower is another double bedroom with private bathroom with shower and toilet.
The beds are made on arrival and a large towel and small towel are provided per person. Please bring your own pool towels.
Cots can be added on request.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the adjacent garage.
On the terrace there are large garden tables and 10 comfortable chairs as well as some sun loungers.
You can also use all the other facilities the estate has to offer.

In a radius of approx. 60 km around the Domain, and divided over three departments (Dordogne, Corrèze and Haute-Vienne), a discovery of this very versatile area is more than worthwhile:

Visit the prehistoric caves of the Vézère valley (le couloir de la préhistoire) and of course the caves of Lascaux.
Admire the numerous castles in the vicinity of the Domain, such as Hautefort, Pompadour, Ségur le Château, or Beynac and Castelnaud in the valley of the Dordogne. Visit the culturally interesting cities such as Périgueux, Sarlat, Brantôme, Limoges...
And of course the museums, the churches, parks and gardens, the picturesque villages or make a nice canoe trip on one of the many rivers...
Nature shows her best side in the valley of the Auvézère, the gorges of the Vézère and the nature park Périgord Limousin...

In the clubhouse of the golf course on the estate, you will find a bistro for lunch during the high season (July/August), sometimes with the possibility of dinner or just a drink.
In the high season (July / August) there are one or more theme evenings organised every week. Nice is the welcome BBQ on the Sunday evening with live music (only the real high season weeks)
You can also use our bread service. Every morning fresh baguettes, croissants, chocolatines, French sultana rolls and div brown pains are baked on the domain.
You can also make use of our breakfast buffet at € 10 per person.
There are also many nice little restaurants in the area.
Activities
At Essendiéras there is a small beach by one of the lakes. There are pedalos here that you may use. There is also a play island with various pieces of equipment.
You can go for a nice walk in the gardens and woods (walking routes have been set out) or explore the surroundings by bike.
Experience the freshness of the river or go trout or carp fishing in one of the lakes.
Furthermore, there is a tennis court, 9-hole golf course with driving range, trampoline and a dressage track on the domain.
In the season, cosy guest tables are organised every week.
