The house
This house is very cosy, but upstairs slightly less suitable for tall people, as there is a beam here and there at 1.80 m height. The gite has 3 bedrooms, 1 of which has a small ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. It is possible to add a camp bed. The second bathroom contains a double sink, shower, bath and toilet. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer. The spacious open-plan living room has a living area with wood-burning stove and a raised section where the dining area, kitchen and toilet are located.
The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, 4 ceramic hobs, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, fridge/freezer, full set of crockery, cutlery, pans etc. High chairs can be added on request. Towels and tea towels are provided.
The cottage has both a garden with a south-facing terrace and a garden with a north-facing terrace. There are attractive views from the garden.
The beds are made upon arrival and a large towel and small towel are provided per person. Please bring your own pool towels.
Cots can be added on request.
The terrace has a garden table and comfortable chairs. There is also a bbq available. At the private pool you will find adjustable loungers and a parasol. The pool has a childproof fence and is heated from May to September.
Of course, you can also use all the other facilities the Domain has to offer.

In a radius of approx. 60 km around the Domain, and divided over three departments (Dordogne, Corrèze and Haute-Vienne), a discovery of this very versatile area is more than worthwhile.
The cultural heritage and regional architecture have much to offer. Visit the prehistoric caves of the Vézère valley and of course the caves of Lascaux. Admire the numerous castles near the Domain, such as Hautefort, Pompadour, Ségur le Château, or Beynac and Castelnaud in the valley of the Dordogne. Visit the culturally interesting cities like Périgueux, Sarlat, Brantôme, Limoges.
And of course the museums, the churches, parks and gardens, the picturesque villages or make a nice canoe trip on one of the many rivers.

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in huisje papillon. Alles was aanwezig en schoon, bedden heerlijk opgemaakt bij aankomst. Heerlijk zwembad waar we de hele week gebruik van hebben gemaakt.
Super uitzicht op balkon aan de voorkant waar je heerlijk kunt ontbijten en savonds de zons ondergang kunt zien.
Domein is groot dus wel veel met de auto gedaan, wij hebben verder geen gebruik gemaakt van de faciliteiten van het domein wij hadden genoeg aan het zwembad bij het huisje. Super U supermarkt is 10 minuten rijden maar heeft echt alles. We zijn een dagje naar een klimbos en waterski baan geweest in rouffiac cabel park in Angoisse was ongeveer 20 minuten rijden van huisje, hele leuke dag gehad. We zijn een dag naar bergerac geweest, mooie stad met leuke winkeltjes en vele terrasjes, wijnboer bezocht in die streek.
kortom een super leuke vakantie gehad in een perfect huis echt een aanrader!!!
Restaurants, food & wine
In the golf clubhouse on the estate, you will find a bistro for lunch in high season (July/August), sometimes with the option of dinner or just a drink.
In high season (July / August), 1 or more theme nights are organised every week. Nice is the welcome BBQ on Sunday evening with live music (only the real high season weeks)
You can also make use of our bread service. Every morning fresh baguettes, croissants, chocolatines, French sultana rolls and div brown pains are baked on the domain.
There are also many nice little restaurants in the area.
Activities
At Essendiéras, there is a small beach at one of the lakes. There are pedal boats here that you may use. There is also a play island with several pieces of playground equipment.
You can enjoy walks in the gardens and woods (there are hiking trails) or explore the area by bike.
Experience the freshness of the river or go trout or carp fishing in one of the lakes.
There is also a tennis court and 9-hole golf course with driving range.
