The house
Hameau du Soleil is a small-scale holiday park with a heated swimming pool.
In early 2005, we had a beautiful, completely detached chalet built at the edge of the woods.
This chalet has a magnificent view and can accommodate 6 people. It has the same comfort as the other holiday homes, with the added bonus of a covered terrace. Layout downstairs: kitchen with all comforts, such as washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, 4-burner gas hob, coffee maker and kettle, six-person dining area. Sitting area with colour TV and reception of all Dutch channels. Two double bedrooms with double bed. Shower, toilet and washbasin.
Stairs to the loft with one double bedroom with double bed.
Parquet floors downstairs and upstairs.
Outside you have a covered veranda with sitting area and barbecue and lots of space with nice views.
Wifi is available free of charge.

Hameau du Soleil' is situated on the border of the departments Dordogne and Lot and is surrounded by lovely and very varied hilly landscape with many forests and meadows. It is surrounded by characteristic small villages and picturesque towns, such as Sarlat, Souillac and Gourdon. Here, you can enjoy a delicious glass of wine on a terrace and also get to know the very varied French cuisine. The Dordogne region is also very popular for its many famous castles. The closest one is Castle Fenelon in Sainte Mondane. The region is also famous for its caves, such as the prehistoric caves of Gougnac, near Gourdon.
Markets can be found in all villages in the area, as well as summer festivals and flea markets. We recommend visiting the medieval town of Sarlat in the evening, with its cultural festivals and many street artists. Near the beautiful town of Domme is an air base, from which you can view the beautiful surroundings from the air. And what about the city of Cahors. With its old city parts and its Pont Valentré, this city is definitely worth a visit. The Cahors region is also famous for its excellent wines, many wine cellars are open to the public. And not to forget the pilgrimage town of Rocamadour, which attracts many visitors each year, also known for its delicious goat cheese.

Reviews
Peter from Maarssen,
Klein huisje ,maar alles is er, ook een fijn terras voor het huisje. Een goede sfeer inde hameau, ook dankzij de enthousiaste en zorgzame eigenaren Brigitte en Peter. Fijn!
Micki Koot from Peer,
Heerlijke vakantie gehad. Leuke gite, alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt.
Mooi natuur zwembad, veel ruimte om te wandelen, Eva & Kees zijn de eigenaren van dit schitterend mini vakantiepark en zeer vriendelijk. Top!Nel en Lammert from Schagen,
Restaurants, food & wine
The Dordogne region is not only known for its beautiful surroundings, but also for its very varied cuisine and excellent wines. In the many restaurants in the area, delicious meals are served at a very reasonable price.
Activities
'Hameau du Soleil' is very child-friendly. The complex, 2 ha, has a large meadow, so plenty of room for children to play. For toddlers, there are swings, a sandpit and a climbing frame. There are also opportunities for sports, such as badminton, volleyball and table tennis. Centrally located is the heated swimming pool (12x6mtr), from where you have stunning views over the countryside. Around the pool is a large terrace, with sun loungers and parasols, where you can relax.
There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. Here you can hike endlessly in unspoilt nature while enjoying magnificent views. You can go horse riding and play tennis. Or take a hired canoe down the Dordogne River and enjoy a picnic on one of the many pebble beaches along the way. There are also several golf courses and theme parks nearby. Bicycles can be rented nearby so you can explore the beautiful surroundings by bike.
