The house
The four-person holiday home Sauternes is a generously sized, comfortable ground floor cottage that has recently been completely renovated. We have done our utmost to furnish this charming holiday home in such a way that you will find everything you need for a pleasant holiday. These spacious bathrooms are equipped with a shower/bubble bath, double washbasin and a toilet. In the romantic bedroom you will find a double bed (1.40m x 2.10m). In the second bedroom, there are two single beds (0.90m x 2m). In this room, you will also find a cosy seating area.
Sauternes overlooks the park and has doors to its own terrace with garden furniture and parasol. The location is southeast and you have a spacious garden of over 3,000 m 2 (which is almost half a football field) at your disposal. Due to the size of the estate and its situation, a lot of privacy is guaranteed. Of course, there is ample parking on site.
A large (6 by 12 metres) heated swimming pool is ideal for a lovely dip in summer temperatures.

1 week in deze mooie Gites is eigenlijk te weinig. Schitterend gelegen nabij Bordeaux.. Een aanrader voor wie in deze omgeving vakantie wil houden. Bordeaux en omstreken zijn het bezoek meer dan waard. Met mooi weer is het heerlijk afkoelen in het zwembad.

Fijne plek vlak bij de stad Bordeaux. Het dorpje heet Latresne en heeft alle voorzieningen in de vorm van kleine winkels en bakkerijen. Op 500 m. een supermarkt voor degenen die zelf willen koken. Aanrader is echter gebruik te maken van de "plat du jour" in de stad en overige dorpen. Voor weinig geld (9-13 euro) goed eten. Gite Margaux is groot en comfortabel ingericht. Het terras heeft uitzicht op de mooie en enorme tuin. Daar zitten met een glas wijn, geeft een "rijk" gevoel. Gastvrouw en gastheer Margaret en Ronald zijn heel gastvrij en betrokken. De privacy is groot. Daarnaast hebben wij genoten van het grote (verwarmde) zwembad met fijne ligstoelen. Dit ligt naast het chateau op een afgesloten terrein. In de gites hoor of zie je er niets van. In de omgeving zijn mooie autotochten te maken en je kunt veel wijnchateaux bezoeken. Kortom een aanrader in vele opzichten.

Heerlijk plekje vlak bij Bordeaux. In een kwartiertje zit je in het centrum. Rustige Gite vlak naast het prachtige Chateau. Welkom was erg goed geregeld en heerlijk aan het zwembad gelegen. Klein stukje rijden naar enorme supermarkt geeft de mogelijkheid om te koken in je eigen keukentje. Goede ervaring en absoluut een aanrader. Enige jammere was dat i.v.m. veel Franse vakanties in augustus de bakkertjes om de hoek allemaal gesloten waren.

Wine lovers can indulge themselves because Bordeaux is, of course, the cradle of French wine. Because of its central location, the estate is an excellent base from which to explore these vineyards. Fortunately, there are also many domains that produce very affordable and often excellent wine. Many wine chateaux can be visited and are happy to welcome you.
The southwest of France is a culinary paradise. Bordeaux offers, besides the traditional kitchen, almost every imaginable variety of restaurants. The area offers much in the way of culinary delights; from a simple bistro to Michelin-starred restaurants just a few minutes' drive away.
Activities
Although located in the countryside, the distance to Bordeaux is only 5 km. Bordeaux is an exciting city in development and offers a varied nightlife with, among other things, cosy terraces and a choice of restaurants with, of course, many wines. Throughout the year, Bordeaux has a fascinating cultural life with theatres, museums and exhibitions.
Practically all conceivable sports can be practised in the area. There are three golf courses at less than 20 minutes by car from Coulon Laurensac.
