Welcome to Le Maverick, your holiday-stay with a difference!
Our beautiful 3 double bedroom gite lies on our farm of over 11ha amidst the rolling hills of the Vienne region. Our guests call our location "a true sanctuary".
Besides being an amazingly beautiful location and gite, we have a yoga studio on site where I am happy to host sessions for/with you. There is is a lovely little nature trail on our own terrain for you to meander and listen to birdsong and endless additional trails right on our doorstep. If you fancy something more strenuous we can share routes for cycling, walking or running and even accompany you if you would like :)
Our gite is a lovely, warm and inviting space. We have really enjoyed turning a mere shell, into a place that feels modern and comfortable for our guests. The bedrooms all have a touch of the typical French romance about them with beautiful raw linen curtains, restored antique cupboards and specially chosen 100% cotton bedlinen.
If you feel you want to stay in for the day, there are board games to play and a woodburner to provide that lovely "let's be lazy today" feeling.

La Vienne region is in Nouvelle Acquitaine in South West France. Our farm is 2,5 hours drive from Bordeaux, and just under an hour to Poitiers and Limoges with their regular RyanAir flights and easy train connections direct to Paris.

Activities
We are on an extensive network of bridle paths, walking trails (incl. La Camino de Santiago de Compostella, L'oc et L'oiel trails and many more) and bike routes. In addition, we have a yoga studio where 3 classes per week are held and private groups can book individual instruction. We are happy to send you out on your own exploring our beautiful surroundings, or can guide you on bike or foot including running.
