The house
Luxury holiday villa for 6 people, built in 2001, situated in the south of France in the Languedoc - Roussillon, in the department Aude, ~50 km west of Béziers. Surrounded by a garden of ~1500 m2 and a lower playing field of approx. 680 m2 by the small river L'Ognon. Situated at the edge of the village of Pepieux, surrounded by vineyards. With a beautiful view on the 'Montagne Noire' in the north and the Pyrenees in the south.
The house has covered terraces, so you will always have shady spots at your disposal. Two bedrooms open up through sliding doors onto a terrace of 70 m2 with a blue tiled pool of 5 * 10 m with stone steps and underwater lighting. The whole is surrounded by a wide strip of gravel, the property is fully fenced. Entry through a spacious hall, which gives access to all rooms. Living room with open kitchen of 46 m2. The modern kitchen is equipped with all amenities to make you feel at home, with a large dining table in the middle.
There are three spacious bedrooms, one of which has a small bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. The large - centrally located - bathroom has a double washbasin, shower, bathtub and toilet.

The Languedoc has a Mediterranean climate with about 3000 hours of sunshine per year, temperatures in summer average 26 °C and in winter about 13 °C. It is a wonderful region for those who love culture, nature, mountains, sun, beach and sea.
The inland is beautiful. You can enjoy the landscape of wine regions like Saint-Chinian and Faugères in the Hérault and the Minervois and Corbières in the Aude. Also the village Minerve with a museum dedicated to the Cartharen or the beautiful Carcassonne with its turbulent past, are worth a visit. The department of Aude offers enough possibilities to enjoy the many forts, castles and fortresses.
The "Canal du Midi" which runs through the two departments also has a lot to offer and kayaking is possible on the river Orb.
The region is a beautiful walking and cycling area.

Een heerlijke vakantie in La Vigne.
Het is altijd weer een feest, om in "La Vigne" op vakante te gaan. We komen hier al voor de vijfde keer en soms denk je dan, och, nu hebben wel het wel gezien, maar het blijft "trekken." De faciliteiten in en rond het huis zijn geweldig, voor elk wat wils en dan in combinatie met het mooie weer, blijft het genieten. Kijk ook naar onze vorige recensies. Een heerlijk huis op een heerlijke, rustige plek in een mediterraan klimaat. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Je kunt heerlijk verkoeling zoeken in een prachtig, ruim zwembad, wat drie keer per week schoongemaakt wordt. Een mooi aangelegde tuin met diverse zitmogelijkheden. Het ontbreekt je hier aan niets en waan je in een paradijs. Voor de liefhebber een grote barbecue beschikbaar in de tuin.Het dorp op loopafstand, waar je je dagelijkse boodschappen kunt doen, evenals vers brood halen bij de warme bakker. Kortom, zeker een aanrader !

Wat een heerlijk mooi en schoon huis waar echt alles aanwezig is. Je komt niets tekort. Lekker rustig gelegen en toch op loofafstand van de supermarkt en bakker in het dorp. De privacy is ook heerlijk. Je kunt ongestoord zwemmen en zonnen. In de omgeving kun je lange wandelingen maken. Het contact met de eigenaar verloopt ook prima. Op mailtjes wordt direct gereageerd. Ook wij kunnen geen minpunten bedenken. We komen volgend jaar zeker terug.
Restaurants, food & wine
The town of Pepieux in the Minervois also has a cave where the wine from the region can be obtained. Many small restaurants in the area offer plenty of possibilities to strengthen the inner man as a conclusion of the gained impressions.
Activities
Ideal area for hikers and cyclists (race & mountain bike), but also for water sports enthusiasts with the lake of Jouarres at 2 km distance where you can surf, sail and swim. The Mediterranean Sea is about a 1/2 hour drive away.
There is also a local tennis court, which can be rented for a small amount.
Surrounded by places like Minerve, Beziers, Carcasonne and Narbonne with a rich history and many places of interest.

In case due to COVID19 travel in 2025 is not possible (code red), alternative period will be discussed (if desired and possible) or refund of the rent paid.
