The house

The villa is situated in the heart of Capestang, a lively 13th century village (on the Canal du Midi). There are several restaurants, shops and cafes just a few steps away. Also a twice weekly market.
This large, spacious old French property with its tower dating from the 13th century (& resident owl!) has been refurbished to a very high standard and comprises of three houses - the Manoir, the Vigneron and the Grange sleeping a maximum of 26 guests in 12 bedrooms.

The Manoir - The main house is on 3 floors and sleeps 12. The top floor has 1 double bedroom ( en suite) and 3 twin bedded rooms (1 of these is "en suite", the other two share a 3rd bathroom) The middle floor has 2 large "en suite double" rooms. One has a dressing room and also a cot.
In the spacious sitting room with comfy sofas are a TV, DVD player and a music centre. There is also a wood burning stove. There is a modern kitchen and large dining room.

The Vigneron - is on three floors and sleeps 8. On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom, the kitchen and a shower room / toilet. The first floor houses the living room and the fun "Couve" bedroom. This room has a small ladder leading to an old "couve" with spaces for 2 single mattresses, also a further 2 single mattresses available in this room. The "couve" has a safety rail, however children using this sleeping space should be superivsed. There is also a cot for a baby. The top floor has a double room with "en-suite" bahtroom.

The Grange - (detached from the Manoir and Grange above) can sleep 6 people in 3 ensuite bedrooms and it has wheelchair access with a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. This property does not have access to the inground pool unless all three properties are rented by one group of people. However, it has its own private terrace, barbecue and small above ground pool.

This area of souuthern France is renowned for its gastronomy.
Including cassoulet, stuffed vegetables and tielle an octopus and tomatoe pie.
The region is well known for wine production. These include Fitou (a red wine), Muscat (a sweet white wine) and Tavel (a rosé wine).

Activities

The nearby Greenway of almost 12 km, was created on the route of the old railway line which once started from Colombiers, it now connects Capestang and the Canal du Midi, to the old station of Cruzy.
