The house
Our villa is fully equipped for you.
Through the hall you enter the spacious living room and the open kitchen. Through the sliding doors you have access to one of the terraces which give you a fantastic view over the beautiful valley.
The villa has three double bedrooms and a complete bathroom with bathtub and shower. There is also a second toilet in the house.
Against the house is a garage, which is used for storage of eg the bbq.
Further on there is a detached garage which is used for private storage.
The pool is fenced and accessible through a gate. Also there is a lovely terrace where you can enjoy the great view.

Restaurants, food & wine
In the vicinity are many vineyards, chateaus and caves where you can taste (déguster) and buy high quality wine. Najac also has a wine cave with good wine (rosé), but there is not always someone present. In the holiday villa you will find the details of locations where wine tasting is organised under the guidance of a Dutch person.
In the surroundings there are also several restaurants in various types and price categories. An overview of these is also available in the holiday villa.
Activities
Najac, a mountain village near Siran, in the middle of the Minervois. A beautiful quiet area, between the historic cities of Carcassonne and Narbonne. A place to really relax and enjoy all the beauty (and deliciousness!) that the Languedoc-Roussillon has to offer.
In La Livinière you will find a grocery shop, a bakery, a doctor, a pharmacy and of course several châteaux, where you can taste delicious and often award-winning wines.
For your visits to restaurants, larger shops or cosy terraces, you can go to Olonzac, a larger village a few minutes away.
Rural Najac lies at the foot of the Montagne Noire. An area of great natural beauty, where you can spend hours walking, picnicking or swimming in the crystal clear streams and rivers that have carved their way between imposing rock faces. The centuries-old picturesque town of Minerve (the namesake of the Minervois wine region) is a must to visit.
On the other side of Najac stretches a wide valley through which the famous Canal du Midi runs, with its many locks. You can hire a boat and manoeuvre it through the locks. In Beziers, because of the huge difference in height, there are nine locks in a row; an ingenious water work, nice to see!
At half an hour's drive, in several directions, you will find large cities like Carcassonne, Beziers and Narbonne. These old cities are more than worth a visit. Castles, parks, shops, (flea) markets and restaurants. You can enjoy a glass of wine in the sun, while you are absorbed in the divine French life.
Narbonne is located at the coast, has a boulevard with terraces, restaurants and a wide, child-friendly beach. Sunbeds, parasols and pedal boats are available for rent.
On the coastal side, south of Perpignan, against the rocks of the Pyrenees, there are authentic harbour towns such as Collioure and Port-Vendres. This rocky coast offers beautiful snorkelling and diving opportunities.
The Pyrenees can be reached within 2 hours by car for excursions, where in winter you can make use of several ski areas and accommodations.
Najac is about 1200 kilometres from the Netherlands in the direction of Narbonne, where you take exit 37 on the A9 to arrive in our village within half an hour. From Amsterdam you can fly directly to Toulouse. Via the A61 it is then still over an hour's drive. From Brussels there are direct and cheap flights to Carcassonne.

Wat een prachtig huis op een fantastisch mooie plek!
Geweldig uitzicht, heel stil en rustig en een heerlijk (eigen) zwembad.
Goede keuken uitrusting, heerlijke bank en goede bedden, mooie ruime badkamer.
We hadden 2 heerlijke weken, prima weer en we hebben genoten van de wijnoogsten waar men nog volop mee bezig was.
Het zou fijn als er in de (slaap)kamers iets in de vorm van horren zou zijn, de wel aanwezige klamboes zijn toch minder comfortabel.

wij hebben een week in dit huis door gebracht. echt een héél mooi huis met alles erop en eraan. héél mooi ingericht. grote leefruimte, grote slaapkamers....het is beter dan de foto's voorstellen. het staat zo opgesteld dat de buren u niet kunnen zien op terras en in zwembad.héél mooie en degelijke tuinmeubelen ook. ik zou het iedereen aanraden. ook een prachtige service van de contactpersoon daar. altijd leuk om iemand te hebben waar ge met u vragen terecht kunt. kortom het was een prachtige vakantie. grtjs natalie
