The house
After having rented out our house ( Le Tournesol in Limoux ) to many satisfied guests for over 20 years, we are now ready for a new challenge. The house in Limoux has been sold and we have our eye on a beautiful complex in Le Ségur in the Tarn. Besides our own home , it consists of a gîte for 6 people , which can be extended to max. 8 people and another loft for 2 people.
We would like to rent out both these properties again to holidaymakers. We have taken over this complex and will redecorate it to our taste in the near future. The photos give an impression of how it is now.
Gîte La Grande Forge.
The large gîte has a spacious kitchen, fully equipped. The living room consists of two parts ( TV corner and reading corner ). Downstairs is a toilet and small bathroom with shower. On the 1st floor you will find 3 bedrooms (1 with double bed and a cot, 1 with double bed and the 3rd with double bed and single bed. ), a spacious bathroom with double sink, toilet and shower. The bedrooms have ample wardrobe space.
The living room has a television with many channels, plenty of cupboard space and a wood-burning stove for cool evenings. In the garden there is a spacious terrace with table and chairs. You also have your own (gas) barbecue.
Rental includes bed and bath linen (excl. bath towels) and final cleaning.
There is also a large heated swimming pool in the large garden, as well as a jeu de boules court and many seats (also in the shade).
On the same complex, we also rent a 2-person loft.

Le Ségur is a small rural village with only a bakery around the corner. Otherwise, you really come here for the peace and quiet. In the immediate vicinity, you will find all the necessary shops for your needs in the various villages and towns.
The house has a large garden where you can enjoy the large swimming pool, the jeu de boules court or one of the seats in the garden, where you can relax or read a good book.

Al voordat we aankwamen voelden we ons al welkom door het fijne contact met de eigenaren. Het huis voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen. Het heeft een prachtig uitzicht op omliggende wijnvelden en Limoux. Op warme dagen konden we heerlijk verkoeling zoeken in het zwembad. We hebben ook wat minder weer gehad maar konden dan heerlijk buiten zitten op het overdekte terras. In de omgeving kun je mooie fietstochten maken langs Canal du Midi en vanuit het huis door de prachtige wijnvelden. Wij hebben genoten van le Tournesol en komen zeker terug.

We hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad in dit mooie huis met zwembad en prachtig uitzicht over Limoux.
Het was prachtig weer en we hebben dagelijks gezwommen in het zwembad.
Het huis is heel compleet ingericht.
Echt heel luxe
In de omgeving hebben we veel uitstapjes gemaakt, o.a naar Carcassonne, Canal du Midi en ritjes door bergen.
Het contact met de eigenaren was heel plezierig.

Wat een heerlijk huis! Fantastisch uitzicht, gezellig overdekt terras en van alle gemakken voorzien! Genoten van lange avonden met uitzicht op Limoux en de mooi verlichte tuin. Helaas te vroeg in het seizoen om van het zwembad gebruik te maken…..
Echt een aanrader, contact met eigenaren is prima!

Activities
Le Ségur is a small village with about 250 inhabitants. Around the corner from the house there is a bakery for your daily fresh bread. For other groceries, you will find several places in the area with large supermarkets.
The quiet surroundings are perfect for beautiful cycling and walking tours through the rolling countryside. In the immediate vicinity you will find many interesting places to discover.
- Cordes sur Ciel ( 12 km ) is a beautiful old medieval bastide that asks to be visited.
- Albi ( 28 km ) is the provincial capital with a beautiful old centre and the largest brick cathedral in Europe !!! It is on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Here you will also find the Toulouse Lautrec museum, among others.
- Monestiés ( 7 km ) , a nice old town
- Najac ( 24 km ) with the beautiful Gorges d'Aveyron. A beautiful gorge with many views.
- Saint Martin Laguepie ( 11 km ) old village with cosy centre and swimming possibilities in the river.
- Gaillac ( 36 km ) with the oldest vineyards in France.
