The house
A comfortable 4 star rated apartment in a charming historic village, perched on the hills just above Monaco and St Jean Cap Ferrat. The top floor of a traditional stone village house with a large balcony terrace offering a magnificent view over the valley and to the sea. It features a spacious lounge / dining room opening onto the balcony-terrace and has a separate well equipped kitchen. There are two bedrooms - a double bedroom, opening onto the balcony terrace with the lovely view - a twin bedroom with two single beds and its own small balcony. Plus a convertible settee in the lounge for a total of up to 6 people. The facilities include; cable TV, DVD player (and a library of DVDs), free internet WiFi, full baby equipment supplied, bed linen and towels included. Central heating. An air conditioning unit is available in the main room, mid-June to mid September. There is parking nearby.

Discover a selection of lovely beaches at just a short drive (the nearest is 8km) and there is also a municipal swimming pool accessible on foot (open July and August). All the village amenities are at just 350m - shops, bars, restaurants and a weekly market, as well as the delightful medieval village centre. There are walking trails starting from the village into the surrounding hills offering magnificent views over the Mediterranean and it is possible to walk down to Monaco (and get the bus back...)

Four of us stayed a week in La Turbie. The apartment is equipped with all necessities, so that nothing is lacking. The apartment was very clean. The location and view is perfect. Within 10 minutes you are in Monaco, but also the other places in the vicinity are recommended. The area offers many possibilities to enjoy their holiday. We would book this apartment again and again.

Our family had a very good holiday at Villa Fiorini. La Turbie is a perfect base for exploring the region. The weather was fantastic and we were able to do all the walks; around Cap Ferrat, around Cap Martin, the Tête de Chien, the Mont Bataille, etc.. The beaches are good quality, the ones at Mala, at Baie des Fournis and at St Jean Cap Ferrat. A perfect stay with the children. We must come back and for 3 weeks next time.
Restaurants, food & wine
At just a 5 minute walk, you will find a choice of 9 restaurants to suite all tastes. Le Café de la Fontaine is particularly recommended, offering a different menu each day and using fresh local produce - excellent value for money. It was voted 3rd best bistrot in France in 2019 by laliste.com. The local bakery has a lovely selection of local specialities and the daily visit is always a pleasure, combined with a coffee on the terrace of the nearby bars. The Thursday market provides fish, fruit and vegetables, cheeses and local specialities. You can buy pizzas and also Socca, cooked while you wait, in an authentic wood-fired oven. The village also has a irresistible cheese shop and a wine merchant.
Activities
As well as the lovely beaches of the Cote d'Azur, the surrounding area has lots to see and do - hill-top villages, historic towns, monuments, museums, botanical gardens, as well as some lovely walks along the Mediterranean coast or in the nearby hills. Ideally situated for exploring further into the Var countryside (St Paul de Vence, Grasse), the alpine valleys (Soarge, Breuil sur Roya) or into Italy (Sanremo, Genoa).

La Turbie - within walking distance; the roman monument, museum and park offering a panoramic view over the bay of Monaco. There are also wooded walks to discover and more sporty hiking along the rocky hillsides.
Monaco - with its chic town centre and port, the Prince's palace, the famous botanical gardens and impressive prehistoric caverns plus the oceanography museum. It's possible to walk down to Monaco from the apartment and bus back.
Menton - one of the loveliest towns of the Cote d'Azur, full of the charm of its Italian origins, with an impressive sea-front and a fascinating old town with its network of alleyways and winding steps.
Nice - The old quarter is not to be missed, with its endless boutiques, charming restaurants and the famous 'Marché aux Fleurs'. Many excellent museums and art galleries to visit.
