The house
EXTERIOR
At the back of the house there is a covered terrace with lovely seating, from where you have a beautiful view over the surrounding vineyards.
The covered terrace can be reached through the French doors from the living room and the kitchen. Under the covered terrace is a spacious dining table with chairs and a large gas barbecue. In the charmingly landscaped garden there are several seating areas to enjoy a glass of local rosé and delicacies from the lively Tuesday morning market in Cotignac.
The house is surrounded by olive trees, which provide plenty of shade in the hot summer, as well as many fragrant colourful flowers and plants. The property is fully fenced and offers ample parking for 3 cars. In short, an ideal place for a wonderful holiday in Provence.
INTERIOR
Maison Enchantée is a typical Provencal villa at about 3 km from the lively village of Cotignac. The house has just been completely refurbished and up to the last detail. From the bright living room with large dining table, TV and sitting area, you can reach the covered terrace through the French windows. The kitchen, which is located next to the living room, is fully equipped.
This holiday home has 3 bedrooms, of which the master bedroom is equipped with air conditioning. The bedrooms are all equipped with quality beds to ensure a good night's sleep.
There is one bedroom situated on the ground floor. This room is adjacent to a hallway and has a spacious bathroom with a sink, toilet and a shower/bath combination. Upstairs there are two bedrooms each with a private bathroom, equipped with shower, toilet and washbasin. Also on this floor is a cosy reading corner, where you can sit quietly or work at a small desk.

Restaurants, food & wine
Along the road from Brignoles/Cotignac, a small but well-stocked SPAR supermarket has opened. In Cotignac you will also find 3 bakers, a butcher, a fishmonger, a neighbourhood supermarket, a bank branch and a post office and many attractive terraces of bars and restaurants. Under the plane trees on the square, Cotignac is the village where you can dream away over a pastis or a cup of coffee. There are many Provençal bistros and restaurants in the vicinity.
The popular restaurant Chez Loli is located on the central square. A lovely place to have lunch or dinner with a good price/quality ratio: the escargots served in small pots are famous! Diagonally opposite, you will find La Table des Coquelicots, which is also a good place to be. Just outside Cotignac on the D22 towards Montfort sur Argens is the restaurant Clos des Vignes worth a visit. It is beautifully situated between the vineyards and has an original menu.
Around Cotignac there are numerous wine chateaux and the famous Provencal markets. Recommended is the cosy Tuesday morning market in Cotignac. A similar market, but considerably larger, can be visited on Tuesday mornings in Lorgues, 20 km away. Also villages like Sillans la Cascade, Salernes, Flayosc, Tourtour and Aups lie in a radius of 20 km and are worth a visit. The beaches of Fréjus and St. Tropez are at 35 km. The cities of Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Cannes, Toulon/Hyeres can all be reached in about 1 hour by car.

Activities
The house is ideally situated for a wide range of activities such as fishing, kayaking, cycling/mountain biking and hiking through the nearby vineyards. In addition to fantastic picnic spots along the banks of the Argens, a canoe trip on this river is also highly recommended. Canoe rentals can be found at several locations.
There are more than 10 golf courses in the area and also tennis and horse riding is possible. At about 45 minutes distance you will find the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon, ideal for mountain climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, pedal boating etc. Beach and sea can be reached within ca. 45 minutes.
