HOLIDAY HOME IN VILLECROZE WITH LARGE GARDEN AND PRIVATE POOL

Charming spacious house in the village of Villecroze. Two minute walk from the village Square, yet completely private with a pretty, fully fenced garden, several sunny and secluded terraces and a balcony upstairs with wonderful views over the countryside and hills.
The house is suitable for one family, but is ideal if you’re sharing your holiday with friends or other family members. This is because it is spread over two floors. The ground floor consists of an apartment with its own fully equipped kitchen including ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Also on the ground floor level, there is also a large extra space, which is light and comfortable, having a window and a door leading to a lovely enclosed terrace with views to the countryside. There is a comfortable convertible double sofa bed, providing extra sleeping space for two more guests. There is also also a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and a large fridge/freezer in this space.
Leading from here, there is a charming covered terrace, equipped with a gas barbecue and a pretty table and chairs seating eight people, ideal for a leisurely dinner at night.

A staircase leads from the hall to the upper level, where you will find is a beautiful, spacious, comfortably furnished living area with air conditioning (on request) and an enclosed wood burning fire for the chillier evenings. There is a dining area at one end, with a table seating eight. Off the living room, there is a newly installed kitchen, with induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
Through double glass doors, there is a shaded balcony off the living room with wonderful views across the countryside to the hills beyond - the perfect place to enjoy lunch outside, or an evening drink watching the sunset.
Also on the upper level, there is a large double bedroom with a king size bed. Views from the bedroom are of the open countryside. Off the bedroom, there is a recently constructed luxury bathroom, with walk in shower, bath, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. The views from the bath are the best in the house!

Outside, an electric gate leads to parking for two or three cars. The back of the house is surrounded by garden. There is a 10m x 5m salt water swimming pool with pool alarm. The pool is 2 metres deep at one end. It is completely fenced and screened. There is a pool house with a shower and toilet. Pool heating is available at extra cost, except during June - August, when it is not needed. There are several sun beds, as well as a comfortable wicker sofa. A small fridge is available for keeping your drinks cool during the warmer months.
The house is in an ideal location on the edge of the village. A few steps takes you to the village Square, with its restaurants, bars and boules pitch. This is particularly lively in the summer months, offering lots of different musical events and sometimes providing you with the opportunity to show off your dance moves! At the end of the evening, just a short walk takes you back to the house, which is tranquil and quiet after the bustle of the square.
Villecroze also has a medieval town at its centre, filled with historic houses, and closed to traffic. The Vieux Village is also home to the Music Academy, which hosts musicians from all over the world. Often, there are classical music concerts in the old Chapel, a short walk from the house.
The house offers its own enclosed parking space, but just opposite is a newly constructed parking area. This leads to a lovely park with its famous caves - you can climb up to explore.
The village is situated close to Aups, Salernes, Cotignac and Tourtour (one of 'les plus beaux villages' in France). It is on the road leading to the Verdon Gorge, with its startling azure lake (le Lac Ste Croix), which offers opportunities for boating and swimming. A forty minute drive takes you to the beaches of Ste Maxime, where you can take the little ferry across the bay to St Tropez.
There are numerous restaurants in the area - some close to your doorstep. The lovely Chateau de Berne, with its Bistrot and its gourmet restaurant, is a ten minute drive away. The famous Chez Bruno restaurant is a twenty minute drive away.
There are of course numerous well known wine domaines in the area: It's worth singling out St Jean, Chateau Thuerry and Rabelles - all of which are close to the village should you decide to go for a tasting.

Further remarks

Villecroze, although quite small, has a great deal to offer.
In addition to the variety of restaurants and cafes, there is also an outstanding antique shop - well known in the region and beyond. There is also a pottery just outside the village which is well worth a visit.
