The house
Here you can relax to the maximum and recover from your everyday stress: Quietly situated 100sqm villa with 1,500sqm beautifully landscaped garden and pool (10x5m) for up to 6 people in a dreamlike natural setting, close to Mont Ventoux.
2023 complete renovation and redesign of the house after change of ownership. The bedrooms and the living/dining area are equipped with allergy-friendly reversible air conditioning and oak parquet flooring. High-quality and fully equipped bathrooms and kitchen. Comfortable and well thought-out new furnishings. The unfortunately very weak mobile phone network is compensated by an excellent internet connection via fibre optics and a landline telephone connection. Television with mainly French channels. High-quality TV set with 49-inch screen and HDMI cable for connecting your own devices.
Room layout:
Ground floor: hallway with spacious cloakroom, living and dining area with small library, maps and games collection, fully equipped kitchen, utility room, very spacious bathroom with large Italian shower area, washbasin, WC. Bedroom with bed 160x200cm and adjoining 2nd bathroom (shower, WC, washbasin).
Upper floor: gallery, 1 bedroom with bed 160x200cm, another bedroom with bed 140x200cm. The room heights on the upper floor are reduced by the roof pitch and beams: maximum height 2.20m, minimum height 1.20m
All bedrooms and the ground floor window facing west are fitted with very effective insect screens.
On the garden side, there is a very large, tiled terrace with a covered dining area and window side for 6 people. At the front is another spacious terrace area with a table and 4 chairs.
The 10x5m pool, which you don't have to share with anyone, is open from the beginning of May to the end of September. The pool house offers shelter and a separate shower room with washbasin. There is a spacious seating area by the pool with a table and 6 patio chairs as well as various loungers for the pool area and garden.
A 10 square metre lockable room in the house extension is available as a secure storage area for bicycles, equipment, suitcases etc. It has an electricity connection. It has an electricity connection.
On the front lower part of the property there is a very spacious car park with parking space for at least 3 cars.

The house and property are located at the end of a cul-de-sac in the hamlet of Les Alazards on a plateau with a picturesque view of the foothills of Mont Ventoux on all sides. The cultivation of cherries, apricots, wine, plums, almonds, lavender provides a very charming splendour of scents and flowers in spring and summer. In the tranquil idyll of Les Alazards, only occasional agricultural traffic is to be expected. You can directly join the great hiking trail GR 4. The nearest shopping facilities are in Malaucène, 6km away. There you will also find several very well-equipped cycling shops with rental facilities.

We had some wonderful weeks at “Maison Nordia”, a spacious house near by Le Mont Ventoux. The house has a lovely large garden with a great private swimming pool and beautifully overlooking the mountains. The garden also has some fruit trees like olives, prunes and figs.
You can have a seat in the shadow and also in the sun, whatever you like.
It is a beautiful area for hiking, cycling or just a walk. We have visited some beautiful cities in the area including some wineries with some wine tasting.
We really loved the house which is tastefully decorated, clean and hygienic with excellent beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you may need. In short we highly recommend this house and we will certainly return once we visit the Vaucluse again.

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche in diesem zauberhaften Haus in einer fantastischen Panoramalage verbracht. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen von Valentin und Emilie, herzlichen Dank dafür! . Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und voll ausgestattet, uns fehlte es an nichts. Das Haus, der Pool, der Garten, die Aussicht waren einfach nur traumhaft. Sehr ruhige Lage in einer wunderschönen Region, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wieder kommen!
Restaurants, food & wine
In the surrounding area there are many restaurants with Provençal dishes and regional wines. In nearby Malaucène with its numerous cafés and bakeries, it is worth visiting the weekly market with its local (organic) products such as fruit and vegetables, olives and olive oil, cheese, honey, jam, baked goods, ceramics, etc. We like to buy freshly harvested fruit and vegetables from the local fruit and vegetable farmers, e.g. at the markets or at ferme plantevin and ferme du sublon on the road to Vaison-la-Romaine. Good local wine can be tasted and purchased at Cave Beaumont-du-Ventoux south of Malaucène in the direction of Carpentras.
Activities
Ideal surroundings for hiking and cycling (MTB+racing bike). The region is not only a hotspot for racing cyclists, but also offers a wide range of other natural and cultural activities such as golf, tennis, climbing, river hiking, canoe tours, paragliding, horse riding, wildlife watching tours, high-profile music and theatre festivals and archaeological sites. In the summer months, there are wonderful evening festivals with regional culinary and cultural offerings in the village squares every weekend.
Especially when the mistral has swept away all the clouds and particles from the air, the clear nights of Les Alazards offer a marvellous view of an intoxicating starry sky and the infinite expanse of the universe without urban light pollution.
