When you love swimming, what will be more delightful than to start your day with a swim? Choose a property with a pool, or if you prefer, lake or river. Of course, you can also select the properties on or near the Atlantic coast or the Mediterranean.
The many lakes and rivers that cross the country form a beautiful supply of fish for fishing enthusiasts. But maybe you'll even find a house by the river with a boat or a small motorboat to fish? You can also rent a boat for a cruise on the Canal du Midi or on the Canal du Nivernais in Burgundy. In Biarritz, Biscarosse Mimizan and Lacanau you will find ideal beaches for surfing. You can go sailing on numerous lakes, such as Lake Annecy, Lake Chambon, Lake Bourget and Lake Chalain.
France is full of rivers, waterfalls and rapids where you can enjoy canoeing and kayaking, but also other sports, like rafting or canyoning. You can practice these activities on the Tarn River, in the Gorges du Verdon, on the Sorgue River, in the estuary of the Bay of the Somme, near Arcachon or Castagnu in Corsica. For diving, you can go to Argelès-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean coast, the rocky coast south of Quimper, or one of the numerous lakes. Wherever you are in France, you will feel like a fish in water!
