Le Marouby is part of the municipality of Bonnefond and is located in the French Corrèze department, on the Millevaches Plateau, near the Parc naturel régional de Millevaches en Limousin.
The nearest shops are 12 km in Bugeat or 19 km in Egletons. The first restaurants can be found at 10, 12, 14, 19 km and further in different directions. The estate has several marked hiking trails that cross or pass through the property, less than 100 metres from the main building.
A 3-kilometre walk from the main house, you can visit the abandoned village of Clédat. Here is also the starting point of 12 hiking routes.
Less than 7 km from the main house is the 'Source de La Corrèze', where the water begins its journey of several hundred kilometres to flow into the 'Bay of Biscay', a gulf of the North Atlantic.
Just 18 km away, you can visit the nearly 2,000-year-old exceptional Gallo-Roman site 'Ruines de Cars', located in the heart of the Plateau de Millevaches.
25km from the main house is the lake 'Lac des Bariousses' just north of Treignac. There you will find a nice beach, a bar with a terrace, a restaurant, Aqua Park and pedal boat rental.
